(Horizon) was selected by Hutto Independent School District (ISD) to conduct an intensive cultural resources inventory and assessment of the proposed location of Hutto ISD’s Elementary School No. 6 Project. The proposed Elementary School No. 6 tract consists of an approximately 6.8-hectare (16.7-acre) tract located east of the Park at Brushy Creek residential subdivision, extending eastwards from the eastern end of Holbrooke Street. (Horizon) conducted an intensive cultural resources survey of the City of Round Rock’s Frontier Park Improvement Project in Round Rock, Williamson County, Texas (Project Area). The Project Area is located approximately 150.0 feet (ft) (45.8 meters [m]) south of the intersection of Chisholm Valley Drive and Frontier Trail in Round Rock, Texas. The City of Leander contracted HDR Engineering, Inc. (HDR) to conduct an intensive cultural resources survey in advance of proposed road improvements to Hero Way (Old FM 2243) in the City of Leander, Williamson County, Texas. The project consists of the renovation of 2.7 miles of roadway with an Area of Potential Effects (APE) that includes approximately 1.9 miles of new linear Right-of-Way (ROW) and 3.1 acres of non-linear APE. The archaeological investigation conducted by HDR consisted of intensive survey of the APE to determine the presence/absence of archaeological resources by employing pedestrian survey, shovel testing, and photo documentation. On December 3, 2014, an archeologist with Prewitt and Associates, Inc., conducted an intensive archeological survey of two parcels totaling 13.5 acres in Round Rock in southern Williamson County, Texas. The survey was completed prior to proposed residential development on Lots 3 and 6 in Turtle Creek Village, just west of A. W. Grimes Boulevard.

The survey found that the project area has been extensively disturbed by cultivation, erosion, earthmoving, and the channelization of Dry Branch Creek, which bisects the project area. On December 4, 2014, an archeologist with Prewitt and Associates, Inc., conducted an archeological survey of a small property in northwest Austin in Williamson County, Texas. The work was performed for the proposed residential development of a 9.3-acre parcel of private property just west of Lake Creek at the intersection of Parmer Lane and Sage Grouse Drive. The field investigation was limited to the edges of the project area due to ongoing earthmoving and residential construction, which had extensively disturbed and reworked almost all of the parcel.

In January and April 2014, an intensive archeological survey was completed in order to inventory and evaluate archeological resources within six proposed work areas, primarily potential shaft locations, along a proposed 3.7-kilometer (km) or 2.8-mile wastewater interceptor pipeline adjacent to Parmer Lane, also known as Farm-to-Market (FM) Road 734 in northwest Austin, Travis and Williamson Counties, Texas.
