The Garden Club of South Carolina was federated with the National Council of State Garden Clubs in 1932, becoming the 25th state to join the national organization.

There is also a 16mm film describing the dedication ceremonies of the Bethel Home Demonstration Club of Sumter, South Carolina, the first of its kind in the United States.
