This collection consists of copies of newspaper clippings related to the life and death of William Spiller Rosenheim. Clippings are related to his practice as a dentist, his marriage, and his sudden death, including tributes form colleagues.
Also included in the collection are transcriptions from his journal of 1899 and 1900 when he was living in Wytheville, Virginia. In these brief snippets, he provides detailed descriptions of himself, including various measurements, as well as provides accounts of spending and what he did. The records of the Cabell County Medical Society (CCMS) span the years of 1891 to 1972 and primarily comprise of correspondence relating to various organizational and professional aspects of the society. This includes meeting notes, memoranda, professional journals, pamphlets, constitutions, and by-laws. The collection also contains the Dr. Charles H. Moffat’s (former professor of history at Marshall University) research materials concerning his book "A History of the Cabell County Medical Society in West Virginia, 1890-1985."

Carrie Eldridge is a genealogical researcher in Chesapeake, Ohio. This collection contains photocopies of many county record books of the Appalachian areas of West Virginia, Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky, ranging from the American Revolution until the early twentieth century. It also contains her personal research files on topics related to slavery and the Underground Railroad in Ohio and West Virginia as well as local history topics such as church and family histories.

This addendum to the Revella E. Hughes papers consists of correspondence, professional papers, photographs, holograph music manuscripts, notebooks, plaques, certificates, photographs, and audio cassette tapes. Also included are programs and announcements of concerts, recitals, and other musical events in which Miss Hughes participated. The newspaper clippings and programs encompass the range of Miss Hughes' performing career, from 1909, at Hartshorn and Memorial College in Richmond, Virginia, until her final appearances in West Virginia in 1985 and 1986.
Printed and manuscript musical arrangements comprise the bulk of the collection. Correspondence, primarily from 1970 until 1986, includes letters from the Marble Collegiate …

The collection contains of two manuscripts bound together, “George Webb Family Deeds Recorded in States of North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia” and “Family Bible of Benjamin Franklin Swann, Louisa Jane Hatfield Swann”. These manuscripts were copied by Marion S. McCullough and Helen B. Webb, both members of the Westmoreland Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. They former manuscript contains transcriptions of six deed records while the latter contains four pages of birth, marriage, death, and other family bible records. An index is included.
