Know all men by these presents that
I William D Gaylor of the County of
Holt and State of Missouri for divers
good causes and considerations...
unto ..... do hereby emancipate and
set free my slave Charity aged 28 years
dark color Also my slave Emana Jane
aged... months of a yellow color and
I do hereby release and convey to the said
Charity and Emana Jane all my rights
bills and claims to their services hence
forth and forever Witness my hand
and seal this 30th day of April AD 1864
