This collection is composed of discharge cards for nurses and soldiers of the Army, Navy, and Marines from World War I. The cards are in rough alphabetical order by soldier's last name. Besides information about their military service, each card contains the veteran's age, place of birth, and place of residence. If a soldier died during the war, the card contains information on his date of death and place of burial.

Also included is Haney’s paybook, which gives his service record and a $10,000 life insurance policy. This collection also contains a number of postcards of soldiers in France.
