Why Brownsville Failed To Become ‘The Next Coral Gables’, Robin Robinson

During the early 1920s, Brownsville and the greater Lower Rio Grande Valley region had an opportunity to expand their economic base from one focused solely on agriculture to one that embraced both agriculture and tourism.
