The 1989 Maine Softball season promises to be an exciting one for 10th year head coach Janet Anderson and her Black Bears. The Bears are slated to play nearly 60 games this year, the most ever by a Maine team. The nucleus of 10 returning letterwinners will be joined by a freshman class of eight players, including two promising pitchers.
