Moroccan poetics has taken multiple paths that have embodied transformations in its history that have touched the essence of the structure of poetry. Hannon's periple is considered, by some authors, as the birth certificate of the written history of the Marne. This observation is due to the almost total lack of written documents on the ancient Marne. Tayeb Salih's Season of Migration to the North Disacounter-narrative written in 1969 at the early phase of African 'Decolonization'. This narrative re-writes Conrad's Heart of Darkness –and other ethnocentric representations of Europe's Other such as Shakespeare's Cali ban and Othello-from an Arab/African perspective.
