Despite comprising more than 50% of the population and voting in greater numbers than men, women are underrepresented in U.S. political leadership. Although research exists on the correlation between gender and politics, little literature addresses the influence of generation and gender on voting behavior. Using Jaggar's liberal feminist theory as a framework, the purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between female generational cohorts and their policy preferences and candidate support. Gender disparity in the United States automotive industry is a pervasive problem, and the most significant gender gap is in critical decision-making positions. This study addressed diversity management, career planning, and women’s career advancement in the United States automotive industry. The quantitative correlational study aimed to investigate how diversity management and career planning are related to women’s advancement in the United States automotive industry to improve the representation of women in management and senior-level positions. More women exit the engineering profession than enter, leaving a talent void that incurs lost business value from unrealized business revenues. Without new insights about how to address the continued attrition of women engineers, the profession is unlikely to sustain the human capital needed to achieve competitive advantages through innovation, increased productivity, and improved firm reputation. Obesity is a major public health crisis, affecting every segment of the U.S. population. African American women have higher prevalence of obesity than all other subpopulations and are disproportionately burdened by the disease and its comorbidities. Despite this disparity, African American women are often underrepresented in obesity research. This research examined obesity-related risk factors specific to African American women compared to those for Caucasian women. The design was based on the socioecological model and social cognitive theory, both emphasizing the impact of social factors on health outcomes.
