The Family History Of Christopher L. Clough, Christopher Clough

This essay explores five generations of the family history of Christopher Clough (1987- ). The history recorded dates back to the late 19th century and traces the migration of ancestors from Canada, Great Britain, and the American South to metro Detroit to participate in the birth of the automotive industry. Much of the history takes place in Dearborn, Michigan. Other localities in Michigan explored include Inkster, Dearborn Heights, Nankin Township, Alpena, and Highland Park. Clough’s ancestors also came from surrounding communities in Ontario, Canada, Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin. The Ford Motor Company is heavily featured.

This genealogical article proposes a descent from Henry Andrews, one of the proprietors of Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts, through Ebenezer Andrews, Jr. to Darius Andrews of Sumner, Oxford County, Maine. It aims to resolve errors, identify gaps in the records, and re-establish identities lost to poor record keeping, misattribution, and confusion.

As these stories are passed down, the ways that they are remembered can change, with the truthful aspects of these stories disappearing over time.
