Finding aid only for Manuscripts Small Collection 2295. Diary of Johanna Louisa "Josie" Underwood, the daughter of a prominent Bowling Green, Kentucky family. She records her experiences while living in Scotland, where her father was serving as consul, from 1862 to 1864. She also describes her travel through several European countries and her return to the United States in 1864, when the family spent a year in San Francisco.
