High school is a great place to start acting and learn about theatre, but it can also be a place where actors develop substandard practices. Nevertheless, there are several acting methods that can be used to combat these habits. By delivering videos that focus on these techniques and are tailored to both young and seasoned actors, actors can obtain a better understanding of acting and can be more well-equipped as they approach their work. Drama del día is made up of short plays which will present themes and elements of life along the Rio Grande Valley border between Texas and Mexico. The plays in this work reflect the Chicano culture and attempt to touch on the various themes and conflicts people encounter on daily basis such as domestic, social, and drug cartel violence, corruption, immigration, colonialism and machismo.

This essay gathers concepts of matriarchal studies, theatre and hospitality in thinking beyond the contemporary venue of painting. This paper is the summation of my research and exploration into the history, social ramifications, and individual psychological impact of incarceration and the use of theatre as a vehicle of rehabilitation.
