Burdick of North Dakota, the Committee on Indian Affairs recommends passage of US Senate Bill 414 "for the relief of the Indians of the Forth Berthold Reservation in North Dakota," with one amendment, that, on page 2, line 4, "10" should be struck and replaced with "5".

Created at the behest of the Northern Pacific Railroad, this executive order resulted in a considerable loss of Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara homelands, hunting grounds, and sacred sites.
