Pugs: The Terrible Truth, Hadley Krewall, Tee Kesnan
Student Research
For centuries, pugs have been bred for their large eyes and squished in face, also known as "brachycephalic (squashed nose/flat-faced)," unknowingly creating man-made health complications that now affect their day-to-day life. The Kennel Club states that “50% of pugs have significant breathing problems and only 7% to 15% of pugs breathe like a normal dog.” In her poster presentation, Hadley Krewall hopes to share her interesting research findings on the serious health issues that pugs face, and the ways to stop the breed from continuing to reproduce. Battle Of The Washita: Swosu Libraries Honor 150th Anniversary, April Miller

SWOSU Libraries, the Art Department, and the Washita Battlefield National Historic Site Joined forces in 2017 to host a four-part workshop titled: Make Your Own Moccasins with Southwestern Cheyenne Artists, George Levi, and Creg Lee Hart. Due to Dr. Peters hard work, a grant was received from the Oklahoma Arts Council to pay for the majority of the supplies needed for attendees to make their own moccasins.

The end of the academic year 1953-1954 marked the completion of fifty years of institutional life for Southwestern State College. This study is an attempt to tell, and in some ways to interpret, how this college developed and to indicate its significance and role in shaping the knowledge, attitudes, and culture of those with whom it had contact.
