In the acting classes at Ouachita Baptist University, we primarily work under the Stanislavski thought; we briefly talk about some of the others, but not to a great extent. As a member of the Carl Goodson Honors Program, I participated in a directed study with Mary Handiboe, Associate Professor of Theatre Arts. In this study, I further explored numerous acting methods including those of: Konstantin Stanislavski, Sanford Meisner, Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg, and Viewpoints, along with lesser known methods. I anticipated finding that they all contradicted one another, but I fount that many of them stemmed from the ideas of …

As a Christian, one might wonder, "What happens to those who have never heard the gospel?'" Answers and speculations abound, espoused in theories like exclusivism, inclusivism, and postmortem evangelism. But what if these are not the only possible answers? Although dreams and visions could potentially be the answer to a much broader category of questions than the one above, this is the discussion that gave birth to my thesis. I would posit that dreams and visions represent to the Christian community one valid means of receiving divine revelation.

A couple hundred years ago missionaries would go to the mission field without any cultural or language training. They often arrived in one country and spent their entire life figuring out the lifestyle, language, and culture. However, times certainly have changed. Long-term missionaries are never sent to the field without training. Short-term missionaries should also be trained, but this does not always happen. On a short-term mission trip, there is not enough time to dive into the culture or to face huge cultural barriers without training.
