The article presents information on the highlights of the 2008 Summer Reading Program, entitled "Catch the Reading Bug," for public libraries in Georgia. The objective of the Worth County Library System (WCLS) is to increase the participation of teenagers. The Houston County Public Library System (HOUPL) has added teenagers as a new component to its Summer Reading Program. Information is given on the reading programs of the Southwest Georgia Regional Library system.

The article presents information on the 29th Summer Olympiad program of Coweta County Library in Georgia from August 8 to 23, 2008. The public library system has presented two multicultural programs to stimulate interest in cultural diversity, the Olympics and sportsmanship. Its objective of the program is to encourage students to read. The library's other Olympics-themed event was the premiere of its new virtual travel program.

"Saper La Mente Della Soa Beatitudine": Pope Paul Ii And The Ambassadorial Community In Rome (1464-71), Paul M. Dover

This article examines the practice of the ambassadors sent by the Italian states to the court of Pope Paul II (1464-1471), focusing in particular on how they have embraced their role as an informant. Since Paul was a pope unstable, often impenetrable and inaccessible, the ambassadors were often obliged to obtain information about the Pope and his intentions indirectly. Relying heavily on the Roman diplomatic correspondence during the pontificate of Paul, this article shows how ambassadors have built networks of contacts within the papal court to ensure a continuous supply of useful information and in time. A Timeline Of Important Events In Georgia Public Library History, Elaine Hardy

The article presents a chronology of significant events in the history of Georgia's public library service from 1809 to 2008. In 1809, a subscription library was opened by the Savannah Library Society. In 1900, Mayors S. B. Price and Bridges Smith of Macon established the Price Free Library for the poor. From 1933 to 1934, jobs in public and school libraries in Georgia were created by the Civil Works Administration. In 2000, libraries in Georgia started to purchase and install equipment and software through funding from the Gates Foundation. As of 2008, there are 61 library systems, 33 regional library …
