The Jared A. Fogel collection is comprised of eighty-five historic photographs ranging from 1860-1960. The photographs depict primarily queer men using figurative body language to indicate their sexuality. The first thirty-one photographs have descriptions provided by original collector, Patrick Hobgood.

This collection consists of materials documenting the history of the American Legion Auxiliary. Dexter Allen Unit No. 90. Materials span 1917-1930 and include a record of citations and promotions of soldiers as well as the history of the unit. Also included are postcards and letters from soldiers sent to their families and friends, miscellaneous newspaper clippings, a list of non-military patriots, a list of all Bulloch County WWI Veterans, and theater programs printed in French.

Campus photographer’s photograph files. Photos document most aspects of the Armstrong campus during this era, when Armstrong was called Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU) and Armstrong State University. Included are events (graduation, campus visits, groundbreakings, etc.), athletics, campus facilities, many campus activities and candid and posed photographs of students, many to illustrate campus promotional materials. Also a portrait collection arranged by name, mostly of faculty and staff. An extensive collection it seems that most photos Arntzen took were archived here.

This collection consists of the original diary of German-born surgeon Johann Christoph Bornemann from the early 1750s during his visit to Georgia. Also included are translations of diary excerpts, translations of letters sent from Bornemann to German officials, and a biography compiled by Gertha Reinert. Researcher annotations also appear in the translated diary and letters.

Photographs by college staff made (for the most part) after the move to the Southside campus in 1964/1965. Portraits of faculty form the largest part of the collection, also photos of: campus, buildings, students, staff, and events on campus. Especially: graduation, sports and beauty pageants. Some of the photos were published in The Geechee, Armstrong’s yearbook for 1967 and 1968, the yearbook was used to help identify the persons photographed.

This collection consists of the professional and personal papers of Cornell-trained naturalist Dr. Francis Harper. Materials span 1904-1972 and include field notebooks, correspondence, photographs, and audiovisual materials documenting the plant and animal life as well as human ecology of the Okefenokee Swamp area of South Georgia. The photographs within Series 1 show the flora, fauna, and people of the Okefenokee swamp. The photographs were taken by the Harpers while on their trips to the swamp. This collection consists of materials created and collected by Mary Sue Deloach Smith as part of her 1999 dissertation, What did it mean to be a boarding teacher in a rural Bulloch County community in the 1930s and 1940s. Additional materials include three commissary account books for John H. Brannen farm, six miles west of Statesboro from 1929-1950s.
