There is only one eternal and unchanging truth in the world, and that truth is the Word of God. In words of surpassing beauty and power St. Peter writes: "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which liveth and abideth forever. For all flesh is as grass and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The gross withereth, and the flower thereof fadeth away; but the Word, of the Lord, endureth forever," 1 Pet. 1, 23-25.
