This collection contains a special message written by Governor John Seldon Roane to John R. Hampton, President of the Arkansas Senate, regarding the Tutt and Everett War in Marion County, Arkansas. Roane writes about sending in Allan Wood, the Adjutant General of Arkansas, to maintain order in Marion County. Wood raised two companies of men, one commanded by Captain Mitchell and the other by Captain Denton. This document describes the events that took place from Governor Roane's perspective.

Clinton had wrongfully taken the following decribed Negro Slaves: Milley, Bob, Angline, Sam, Betty, Malissa, and Ned. According the this writ, Mr. Estes recovered his property on August 30, 1850.
