This research-work aims at studying the use of metadiscourse markers by foreign learners of Arabic to enhance their writing skills. First there is an introduction which explains the role of metadiscourse markers in writing within the framework of the two paradigms of meaning suggested by Halliday, i.e. the textual and the interspersonal. Second two hypotheses on which the research-work is built are spelled out. The first hypothesis assumes that writers will always use the two basic paradigms of meaning suggested by Haliday as far as metadiscourse markers are concerned. In the panorama of the Italian travellers of the 19th century, Alessandro standing personality. Born in Siena probably at the end of the 18th century medicine in Siena University. Then he suddenly sailed to Egypt in Tuscany from the dock of Livorno. In Egypt he spent five years of his li unusual sites and recording all his impressions through small notebooks2 ly accurate drawings. He also took a large collection of Egyptian antiquity of natural interests that are now part of the Staatliche Kunstsammlu Albertinum and of the Egyptian Museum in Florence.

Man as a being has always been concerned with seeing the unseen; each individual who ventures upon this search has a different trajectory. This research studies the path which seems to unite different travelers who seek the vision of the unseen, through analyzing Plato's allegory of the cave, which is an excerpt from The Republic, Heidegger's interpretation of the allegory which is from his book The Essence of Truth, and some of the works of Ibn 'Arabi which shed light on the Sufi path.
