This document contains the transcribed text of The Frederick Douglass Diary, a 72-page handwritten diary kept by Frederick Douglass during his 1886-87 tour of Europe and Africa, with additional notes added in later years. The diary is part of the Frederick Douglass Papers available from the library of congress as scanned images. We present here the results of our use of Amazon's Mechanical Turk to transcribe the diary.

This data set represents a first attempt to identify the North American colleges and universities that offer Italian courses at any level and also have support for digital humanities (DH) pedagogy or scholarship at any level. The list of schools with Italian programs was developed using the American Association of Teachers of Italian (AATI) list of undergraduate and graduate programs and College Source as of July 2016. The list was supplemented by checking if institutions listed with CenterNet (for Digital Humanities Centers) also have Italian programs. Coptic SCRIPTORIUM is a platform for interdisciplinary and computational research in texts in the Coptic language, particularly the Sahidic dialect. As an open-source, open-access initiative, our technologies and corpus facilitate a collaborative environment for digital research for all scholars working in Coptic. We provide:
- tools to process Coptic texts
- a searchable, richly-annotated corpus of texts using the ANNIS search and visualization architecture
- visualizations of Coptic texts
- a collaborative platform for scholars to use and contribute to the project research results generated from the tools and corpus
