A letter from Doug Band during his service on the Coca-Cola Company International Advisory Committee (the Committee). The Committee is a third-party group, which is composed of well-known, outside experts in the fields of health policy, environmental policy and public policy generally. The Committee was formed in 2012 to provide strategic guidance in support of the Company's business priorities and to strengthen a network of global opinion leaders. The Committee assists us in understanding related developments and trends in the world at large, and also in devising appropriate, responsive Company policy and action.

The U.S. federal judiciary has frequently displayed a dismissive attitude toward "fashion," while simultaneously recognizing the great economic importance of clothing. As fashion was, from the formation of the United States until at least the late 1960s, associated primarily with the female sex, while judges during this time period were almost exclusively male, one naturally wonders whether the power dynamics of gender shaped the development of the law pertaining to fashion. There is good reason to believe that this has indeed been the case.

This paper is a shortened version of a chapter of an unpublished study of the Department of Women’s Studies, Indian Social Institute, New Delhi, titled ‘Empowerment of Women in Panchayat Raj: A Study of Panchayat Representatives in Bundelkhand Region of Uttar Pradesh’. An attempt is made here to review the available literature on participation of elected women representatives in Gram Panchayats. Only the relevant contributions are briefly presented.

This essay reviews Italian photographer Wanda Wulz's (1903-1984) artistic production in light of the family archive it belongs to, and it proposes an in-depth reading of Wulz's most famous avant-garde photograph, "Io + gatto." The Trieste-based Wulz family -Wanda's grandfather Giuseppe, her father Carlo, sisters Marion and Wanda- produced an impressive body of work that crosses genres, generations and styles. In particular, Wanda Wulz, an established professional in an epoch in which women were most often only the targets of the photographic gaze, brought a new sensibility to Italian photography, and contributed some of the most original Italian photographs of …
