Wells tells the story of a committed scholar, who contributed important scholarship on the famous and enigmatic author Stephen Crane, as well as works on the Oneida Communiry. Mr. Wells also organized the Lena R. Arents Rare Book Room in 1946, and became Syracuse University's first Rare Book Librarian.
