Ouachita Baptist University’s Department of Theatre Arts will host its annual One-Act Play Festival on Thursday and Friday, May 4-5. The performances, which are free and open to the public, will be held in Verser Theatre at 7:30 p.m. both nights.

A total of six one acts will be performed throughout the weekend, with three on each night. All of the shows are directed by senior theatre majors enrolled in the play directing class, a capstone course for a theatre degree.

Ouachita Baptist University’s School of Fine Arts will present the Broadway musical Fiddler on the Roof, based on Sholem Aleichem stories with book by Joseph Stein, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and music by Jerry Bock. The opening performance will be on Thursday, April 20, at 7:30 p.m. in Jones Performing Arts Center. Performances will continue April 21-22 at 7:30 p.m. with a matinee Sunday, April 23, at 2:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased from the OBU Box Office for $12 each.

Ouachita Baptist University’s chapter of Alpha Psi Omega national theatre honor society will present its 15th annual All Night Theatre: Ten-Minute Play Festival on Saturday, March 11, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Verser Theatre. The festival is entirely run by students. The plays are student-written, directed and performed. The event is free and open to the public.

Ouachita Baptist University’s Department of Theatre Arts will present “Not a Clue” as part of the department’s annual Muse Project. This performance is a student-led, interactive, improvised mystery.
