The priesthood of Melchizedek is a mystery to people who study the Bible very deeply. This is largely due to the mystery about man, Melchizedek. We have reference to him in three places in the Bible. In Genesis we first meet the man when he comes to meet Abram after his slaughter of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him. The king of Sodom came to meet Abram to express his gratitude to Abram for delivering his kingdom from these power hungry kings.
