This Thesis, a collection of poems, is sometimes in English, some all in Spanish,and others poems are bilingual. Others still use slang, Calo, and other Pachuquismos. Taste of Dirt is a novel about a young female wildland fire fighter and her travels across the western U.S with her fire crew. The forest, the open road, the animals, and the men and women she meets along the way help her overcome her fears and re-discover her place in nature.
