This paper explores the origins and development of the epiclesis in Eucharistic prayers. It begins by looking at the pneumatological developments around the time of the First Council of Nicaea and the First Council of Constantinople in the 4th century. It then turns to the work of influential scholars in the field to try and present a status quaestionis on the epiclesis which seeks to answer the questions: 1) How did it develop?, 2) Where did it develop?, and 3) Why did it develop? A History And Analysis Of The Missel Romain Pour Les Diocese Du Zaire, Nathan Peter Chase

This paper is an in-depth study of the Zaire Rite, which was developed after the Second Vatican Council in response to the call for greater inculturation. It explores the context in Rome, Africa, and the Congo that allowed such a radical revision of the Roman Rite to be approved. This paper looks at the structural changes that were made and the reasons for those changes while also exploring the differences in celebration between the Zaire Rite and the Roman Rite. The paper concludes with the implications of this rite for the Roman Rite and the Church today.

This doctor of ministry thesis presents the outcomes of a project intended to foster greater collaboration at the Monterey Church of Christ in its selection of elders. The intervention involved the engagement of the Monterey Church in a process that involved multiple steps. These steps involved engagement with teachers in the context of a teacher training seminar, with Bible classes in a series of Bible lessons, and with elders, elder nominees, and their spouses in order to discern the perceived degree to which Monterey members participate in the elder selection process. Since the day of Pentecost, the defining characteristic of the church has been the extraordinary bond of unity and fellowship amongst Christians. Scripture refers to this intense sharing of life as koinonia. Fellowship, however, is often neglected in deference to earthly priorities.

This project aimed to inspire and enable the members of Camp Creek Baptist Church to practice the type of fellowship descriptive of first-century Christianity. Through studying Scripture, analyzing social demographics, and conducting statistical analyses, a solution for enhancing the koinonia. at CCBC emerged--namely, the regular gathering of its members into one another's homes, thereby expanding "sacred space."
