Archaeological Site 41KA25 is located on the east bank of Cibolo Creek on both sides of FM 81 in Karnes County. The site appears to be a multicomponent campsite which has been previously disrupted by highway construction and cultivation.

Testing of portions of the site within the proposed highway right-of-way is being initiated by the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation (SDHPT) in accordance with Procedures for the Protection of Historic and Cultural Properties (36 CFR Part 800), procedures which are prescribed by law and endorsed by the Federal Highway Administration. In November, 1976, an archaeological survey was carried out in portions of the Cibolo Creek watershed in Bexar, Comal and Guadalupe Counties in south-central Texas. These investigations resulted from an agreement between the Cibolo Creek Municipal Authority and the Center for Archaeological Research of The University of Texas at San Antonio. The archaeological assessment was necessitated by the proposed installation of gravity-fed sewage lines along tributaries of Cibolo Creek in the area surrounding the city of Selma, Texas. This report presents the results of the archaeological survey.
