The New York chapter of the SAHS held a panel discussion on "Contemporary Switzerland in the Eyes of Young Swiss-Americans" on May 3, 1975, at the Swiss Town House. Seven panelists, all relatively recent immigrants from Switzerland, addressed themselves to written questions given them by the organizer and moderator of the meeting Dr. Rolf Kieser, First Vice President of the SAHS.

The tenth annual meeting of the reactivated SAHS started promptly at 10:30 a.m. at the Swiss Town House, 35 Wes 67th Street in New York City. Dr. Heinz K. Meier, SAHS President, welcomed the 27 people attending and officially opened the session.

The New York chapter of the SAHS under the able leadership of De. I. de Kosinsky, Treasurer, and P. R. Gelzer, Second Vice-President, organized a spring meeting which took place in the residence of Ambassador and Mrs. P. H. Aubaret, Saturday afternoon, May 13. the invitation was accepted by about sixty members and friends from the greater New York area who were attracted by the generous gesture of the Swiss Consul General, as well as by the timeliness of the program.

The Sixth Annual Meeting of the reactivated Swiss American Historical Society, to which the members had been invited by circular letters of October 25 and November 28, took place on December 27, 2969, in the Conference Hall of the Embassy of Switzerland in Washington, D.C. Time and place were chosen because of the coincidence with the Annual Meeting of the American Historical Association of December 28 - 30 in the same town. This facilitated the attendance of our professional historians, but was less practical for those among our members who had to use the holiday season for family …

I am again in a comfortable position to tell you that the financial situation of our Society is just as favorable as it was a year ago as per December 27, 1968. This is all the more remarkable as our expenses are cca. $ 200.-- higher than last year and due to the general decline of the bond priced our tax-exempt New York State Power Authority Bond value in correlation with the general trend in the stock market, also declined somewhat.
