1£ you were to peruse the pages of Danneuirke, the Danish language weekly, for the first half of the year 1923, you would find the pages filled with articles pro and con concerning the pastoral pledge (praesteloflet). The pastoral pledge is not to be confused with the pastoral vow to remain true to the Orristian faith. No one objected to this.
