In this half-day workshop, we would like to introduce participants to the variety of ways Wikipedia can be used in the classroom. Wikis of all sorts have become increasingly powerful tools to teach writing at the college level and we would like to help participants envisage a wide scope of writing assignments using Wikipedia—assignments that emphasize traditional writing and research skills across the disciplines as well as the importance of newer skills such as media and technological literacy.
