White, New York, regarding the use of a photograph of “the Rookery” in a fictional revolutionary war monograph entitled Pemberton, or 100 Years Ago, by Henry Peterson. Includes letter, 28 July 1898, from Lavalette Wilson, Haverstraw, New York, civil engineer and surveyor, questioning the place the leading character, Major André, lodged the night prior to his capture.
