He is very active in assisting disabled individuals find and receive the resources they need to live independently. He had me drawing floor plans to show his disabled clients how to follow the concept of "Aging in Place." This paper explores the history of this structure by examining the legends, myths, and facts behind it and the surrounding land. The myths and legends are linked to Ireland’s old Celtic beliefs and explain much of the interesting landscape surrounding the massive structure. Post occupancy evaluation (POE) is a tool used to determine the users’ satisfaction of a building after its completion. Most educational facilities do not conduct a post occupancy evaluation due to the absence of it in the contract agreement between the institution and architect. The client often chooses to bypass the POE to reduce the cost of the project. Stephen F. Austin State University's Residence Life Department aims to improve resident retention in South Hall through renovation and interior design. By improving the spaces meant for student use, we hope to increase the involvement and comfort of the residents. The existing structure was not designed for today's amenities and accessibility standards. By enlarging doorways, adding an elevator, and de-compartmentalizing the community spaces, the building becomes much more accessible to people with disabilities. These open spaces also fit into the contemporary styles of living and promote interaction between the residents and other occupants.
