The purpose of this qualitative study was to better understand the physical and psychological characteristics of the female elite warfighters (FEW) that have completed a special operations selection or elite combat course in the United States Armed Forces. The theory guiding this study was Kathy Charmaz’s constructivist grounded theory (CGT) to gain deeper insight on the female pioneers who are completing special operations selections or elite combat courses by exploring the physical and psychological nature of their experience. The historiography surrounding U.S. Army military readiness exercises and their effectiveness in improving or increasing the resultant fighting power of Army Ground Forces is an untouched field of study. This work fills that historical gap by exploring and analyzing a series of U.S. Army readiness maneuvers conducted for forty-plus years that sought to closely replicate the actual conditions of combat that Army Ground Forces were expected to encounter. Waqf holds profound significance, extending beyond its economic role, rooted in the concept of qurbah—seeking closeness to Allah Ta’ālā. It embodies perpetual worship ('ibādah) dedicated to serving the needy and virtuous causes while maintaining a vital nexus with the economy as a charitable endeavor for producing added value. This study descriptively explores this nexus by analyzing the Turkish awqāf sector and its economic contributions. Urinary tract infections (UTI) are an extremely common affliction affecting 150 million people worldwide each year. UTIs are a leading cause of antibiotic therapy among otherwise healthy adult women, accounting for 15% of all outpatient antibiotic prescriptions. Uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC) cause over 80% of community-acquired UTIs. Even when infection is cleared from the urine by clinical antibiotic regimens, 27% of women will experience recurrent UTI (rUTI) within months. Greater than 60% of rUTIs are caused by the same strain of E. coli that caused the initial infection, suggesting that one or more host-associated reservoirs of UPEC can re-inoculate the …

"This research explores disinformation delivered during the 2019 Canadian Federal election. This study explores the methods and techniques used by the perpetrators of disinformation campaigns in the context of Canadian elections. This research also examines whether the disinformation discovered during the election falls within criminal foreign interference. Critical discourse analysis is used to qualitatively analyze 26 articles published by a Northeastern U.S. based independent news website within the ten months leading up to the election. This research finds that the use of unnamed sources, hyperbolic statements to misrepresent facts, and strategies to de-legitimize reputable institutions were the most common tools …

The Use Your Own Device (UYOD) paradigm is increasingly common in modern digital workplaces, offering benefits like flexibility and cost savings but also introducing significant cybersecurity risks. This study develops a comprehensive framework for constructing a robust human firewall aimed at mitigating these risks. The research employs a systematic literature review (SLR) methodology, starting with a corpus of 198 articles, from which 17 high-quality studies were selected for in-depth analysis. Key components identified include cybersecurity awareness training, regular simulated attacks, clear policies and procedures, technology competence training, and fostering a security-first culture. The authorship of the anonymous Middle English poem, The Assembly of Ladies, has been a locus of long-standing critical contestation, and amidst this debate, medieval feminist scholars have continuously and cogently advocated for the poem’s female authorship. Building on these feminist scholarships and simultaneously aiming to move beyond the scope of existing studies, whose discussion has often been limited to whether the poem was written by a woman, this article makes a deliberate and experimental decision in assuming The Assembly’s female authorship and provides a particular feminist reading of the poem enabled by this assumption. Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

A significant degree of uncertainty surrounds security events in Mexico because of the interaction of multiple socioeconomic and political elements. Conventional probabilistic and logical approaches frequently fall short of properly handling this uncertainty. To effectively navigate and manage security incidents in Mexico, this study suggests applying neutrosophic logic, an extension of classical logic that allows for indeterminacy and partial knowledge. Neutrosophic logic provides a more adaptable framework for making decisions in uncertain contexts by simultaneously handling true, false, and indeterminate values. International Law Studies

China has sought to extend its control over the South China Sea at the expense of neighboring countries. In pursuing its goals, Beijing adopts a “power and law” approach, claiming extensive territorial and maritime rights in contravention of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea and asserting these rights through coercive action in disputed waters. A key element of China’s strategy involves the use of coast guard and maritime militia vessels in an effort to portray its operations as measures of law enforcement, rather than displays of coercive power.
