การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ (1) เพื่อศึกษาประสิทธิภาพในการดำเนินงานของสถาบันเทคโนโลยีป้องกันประเทศภายหลังการยกฐานะเป็นองค์การมหาชนที่จัดตั้งขึ้นตามพระราชบัญญัติเฉพาะ (2) เพื่อนำผลในด้านมิติต่าง ๆ ที่ได้จากการศึกษาไปเสนอแนะแนวทางในการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการดำเนินงานในแต่ละมิติของสถาบันเทคโนโลยีป้องกันประเทศ โดยอ้างอิงจากทฤษฎีแนวคิดเกี่ยวกับองค์การมหาชนในประเทศไทย แนวคิดเกี่ยวกับประสิทธิภาพในการดำเนินงาน แนวคิดเกี่ยวกับการวัดผลการปฏิบัติงานแบบดุลยภาพ (Balanced Scorecard: BSC) แนวคิดเกี่ยวกับแรงจูงใจในการทำงานและสถานการณ์ด้านการพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีและอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศ การวิจัยนี้ เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) ใช้การสัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึก (In-depth Interview) โดยมีกลุ่มตัวอย่างทั้งหมด 10 คน คือ กลุ่มตัวอย่างภายในสถาบันเทคโนโลยีป้องกันประเทศจำนวน 7 คน ซึ่งเป็นเป็นผู้บริหารระดับสูงและผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายส่วนงานที่เป็นผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านเทคโนโลยีและอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศ และกลุ่มตัวอย่างภายนอกสถาบันเทคโนโลยีป้องกันประเทศจำนวน 3 คน ซึ่งเป็นผู้แทนจากสำนักงาน ก.พ.ร. และหน่วยงานภาคเอกชนและการสังเกตการณ์ (Observation) จากการบริหารงานภายในองค์การ ผลการศึกษาพบว่า การดำเนินงานของสถาบันเทคโนโลยีป้องกันประเทศมีประสิทธิภาพในการดำเนินงานมิติด้านประสิทธิผล มิติด้านคุณภาพการให้บริการ มิติด้านดูแลกิจการและพัฒนาองค์การและมิติด้านการปฏิบัติงานเกี่ยวกับด้านเทคโนโลยีและอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศมีเพิ่มมากขึ้นเนื่องจากมีอำนาจหน้าที่ในการดำเนินงานรองรับเมื่อมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงฐานะเป็นพระราชบัญญัติเทคโนโลยีป้องกันประเทศ พ.ศ. 2562 อย่างไรก็ตาม การเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการดำเนินงานในมิติต่าง ๆ ที่มีเพิ่มมากขึ้นเนื่องจากการบังคับใช้พระราชบัญญัติเทคโนโลยีป้องกันประเทศ พ.ศ. 2562 แต่เนื่องจากยังเป็นกฎหมายที่บังคับใช้ได้ไม่นานยังคงต้องใช้เวลาดำเนินการพัฒนาปรับปรุงแก้ไข พ.ร.บ. ซึ่งเป็นกฎหมายที่เกี่ยวข้องกับเทคโนโลยีและอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศหรือกฎหมายอื่นที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการบริหารงานภายในเพื่อพัฒนาประสิทธิภาพการดำเนินงานนำไปสู่การเป็นหน่วยงานที่มีขีดความสามารถด้านเทคโนโลยีและอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศ ต่อไป

Molecular dynamics studies have been providing a great number of atomistic details of biological systems to understand enzymatic activity and underlying reaction mechanisms. Herein, molecular dynamic (MD) simulations were employed to study the binding mechanisms of organophosphate pesticides towards two metallohydrolases, i.e., glycerophosphodiesterase (GpdQ) and methyl parathion hydrolase (MPH). OPH are the class of enzymes which breaks down harmful organophosphates, including the pesticides and warfare agents into less harmful byproducts. Hence, these enzymes are excellent candidates for bioremediation. In the present study, various nonspecific organophosphate pesticides were docked into GpdQ and MPH enzymes to construct the pesticide/protein complex for performing …

This research looks at the relations between Taiwan and Southeast Asia under President Tsai Ing-wen's first term (2016-2020) as her administration launched the people-centred New Southbound policy by analysing Taiwan's political discourse and interviewing shareholders in the policy projects. It argues that Taiwan acts as a norm entrepreneur framing its initiative and persuading targeted countries to join hands in development matters for people's well-being in the region. In turn, the people-centred rebranding is expected to justify and normalise cooperation at non- and semi-governmental levels with Taiwan without violating the one-China policy since the policy mainly aims to forge socio-economic partnerships. …

Along the banks of the Susquehanna River in early July 1778, a force of about 600 Loyalist and Native American raiders won a lopsided victory against 400 overwhelmed Patriot militiamen and regulars in the Wyoming Valley of Pennsylvania. While not well-known today, this battle—the Battle of Wyoming—had profound effects on the Revolutionary War and American culture and politics. Quite familiar to early Americans, this battle’s remembrance influenced the formation of national identity and informed Americans’ perceptions of their past and present over the course of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

Although the subject of this Handbook is the law applicable to the conduct of hostilities that applies once a party has entered into armed conflict (the jus in bello), that law cannot be properly understood without some examination of the separate body of rules which determines when resort to armed force is permissible (the jus ad bellum). The jus ad bellum has ancient origins but current law is founded on Article 2(4) and Chapter VII of the UN Charter.

Reform is needed and this dissertation takes the position that the challenges to and desirable characteristics of leadership are understood and can be influenced by Africans living in the Diaspora. Hemingway represents both Spain and Cuba in very different lights, despite the similarities inherent in the countries. As a colonial holding of Spain until 1898, and a U.S. holding until 1902, Cuba is an off shoot of Spanish culture, with differences based on the indigenous people conquered in the 1500s. Though unsurprising, it is interesting that both nations drew Hemingway’s attention. For Hemingway, Spain represented this noble beauty, this majestic heaven on earth, even while in the midst of war. This paper explores two ocean-based carbon dioxide removal strategies – ocean alkalinity enhancement and seaweed cultivation. Ocean alkalinity enhancement involves adding alkalinity to ocean waters, either by discharging alkaline rocks or through an electrochemical process, which increases ocean pH levels and thereby enables greater uptake of carbon dioxide, as well as reducing the adverse impacts of ocean acidification. Seaweed cultivation involves the growing of kelp and other macroalgae to store carbon in biomass, which can then either be used to replace more greenhouse gas-intensive products or sequestered.

Directional radiation of underwater acoustic energy is commonly achieved by using transducer arrays containing many individual projectors arranged in a particular geometry. One method, which avoids the complexity of a large array of separate elements is to construct directional beam patterns by combining modes of vibration from a single “multimode” projector. Piezoelectric ceramics, such as lead zirconate titanate (PZT), have enabled the construction of most multimode transducers due to their ability to be fabricated into many different shapes and sizes. Problem

Misunderstanding and conflict have severely affected three Haitian churches: Dedham Temple Church, Peniel Haitian Seventh-day Adventist Church, and Framingham Temple Seventh-day Adventist Church. The conflict persists between two groups of church members—young adult Haitians born in the United States and newcomer immigrants who were born and raised in Haiti. The division occurred due to misconceptions, language barriers, and preferences for different styles of worship. They were also divided by cultural obstacles, such as knowing the proper etiquette for social media and respecting others’ space. This conflict permeated all the congregations and affected all members.

With the prevalence of Android OS, Android malware has since proliferated. Android malware is malicious software designed to exploit Android operating systems running on smart devices. Ivan Hunter, a leader of the right-wing Boogaloo Bois, recently pleaded guilty to participating in a riot when he fired his AK-47 at the Minneapolis Police Third Precinct during a Black Lives Matter protest in May of 2020. Hunter 's target the home base of Derek Chauvin, the officer captured on video killing George Floyd burned down at the hands of protesters the same evening. Many scientists now agree that achieving the 2015 Paris Agreement’s goal of limiting global warming to “well below” 2°C, and ideally to 1.5°C, above pre-industrial levels will require both major reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and the removal of massive amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Various terrestrial and ocean-based carbon dioxide removal techniques have been proposed, but further research is needed to evaluate their relative benefits and drawbacks. Part 1 of the article shows that the poor, everywhere, are more likely to get sick and more likely to die when they do. In many countries, they are also more likely to starve.

Part II explains why this is a matter of human rights. The ongoing deprivation of basic rights to healthcare and an adequate standard of living are major factors. This research work was conducted to develop a proposed transparent fluid model to mimic dross formation and dispersion in metal castings during the mold filling process. The major cause for dross formation includes the air entrainment, surface turbulence, and bubbles, which create oxide films inside the molten metal. The oxide films are trapped inside the casting after solidification causing detrimental effects on the mechanical properties of the casting.

In this thesis, I demonstrate how the question of ethics in aerial bombardment has been evolving and transforming since its inception at the beginning of the twentieth century to contemporary targeted killings/assassinations by drones. I interact with early airpower theories from Douhet, Trenchard, Mitchell, and contemporary air tactics in order to establish a crucial sequence between these early theories and practices of aerial violence and modern ones conducted by armed drones. I show how the evolution of aerial bombardment challenged, influenced, and transformed essentials of conventional warfare, as well as dispersed boundaries between combatants and non-combatants. Background: The development of an integrated care pathway with multidisciplinary input to standardize and streamline care for pregnant women experiencing breech presentation at 36 or more weeks of gestation poses several challenges because of the divisive and contentious nature of the phenomenon.
