A recent cyberweapons effectiveness methodology clearly provides a parallel but distinct process from that of kinetic weapons – both for defense and offense purposes. This methodology promotes consistency and improves cyberweapon system evaluation accuracy – for both offensive and defensive postures. However, integrating this cyberweapons effectiveness methodology into the design phase and operations phase of weapons systems development is still a challenge. The paper explores several systems engineering modeling techniques (e.g., SysML) and how they can be leveraged towards an enhanced effectiveness methodology. This project closely examines the relationship between transgenerational trauma, disability, and myth, particularly within Black speculative fiction, Afrofuturism, and Africanfuturism. Through the lenses of critical race theory, trauma theory, disability studies, and feminist theory, I will closely analyze how myth functions across five Black speculative fiction novels. I argue that disability appears as a common thread throughout each of these novels as a unique part of Black history and experience. Disability culture specifically offers community interdependence, a rejection of body and mind binaries, and a rejection of hierarchies in the pursuit of accessibility. This article looks at the conceptions of violence within WPS and thus within these diverse international legal regimes as they relate to women and girls. It first examines the regulation of inter-state violence, both legal recourse to the use of force and constraints upon the means and methods of warfare. It then outlines how state obligations to prevent and punish violence against women were brought into human rights law in the early 1990s, primarily by the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW Committee). "Paleolimnological evidence indicates the ancient Maya transformed lowland terrestrial ecosystems by felling forest vegetation to construct large civic-ceremonial centers and expand agriculture. The effects of prehistoric Maya land alterations on lake trophic status, however, remain poorly understood. We analyzed a 515-cm-long sediment core from Lake Petén Itzá, lowland Guatemala, to infer paleoenvironmental changes resulting from Maya occupation of the riparian archaeological site of Nixtun-Ch'ich'. Substantial increases in charcoal and fecal stanol concentrations indicate Maya occupation of the Candelaria Peninsula by the late Early Preclassic period beginning ca. 1400 cal yr Before the Common Era (hereafter BCE), despite scant archaeological evidence …

Since the cyber realm has become a prevalent area in society, states have been developing ways to use this realm to their advantage. Popular literature asserts that cyber attacks are equalizing, frequently-occurring events that make them “revolutionary” tools of warfare; however, this study hypothesizes that cyber operations are not as revolutionary as the literature asserts. This study examines the revolutionary capabilities of offensive cyber operations by studying documented cases of state-sponsored offensive cyber operations from 2005-2019. Slavery was a bedrock component in the development of the New World. While slavery did not begin in the Western Hemisphere, it most definitely grew, developed, and evolved within it. Before the Spanish set out to colonize the New World, they had already been participating in the practice of slavery, particularly race-based slavery. The purpose of this study is to determine whether democratization should be utilized as a method of peacekeeping. This is determined by studying both the United States and the European Union's efforts to spread democracy globally. The historic framework is studied to understand the unique perspective each body has formed in defining democracy, and the method through which it should be spread. The definition of power, democracy, and the state are studied. The concepts are applied to the case studies of Iraq and Turkey in order to make a determination.

Can Americans who join terrorist organizations and fight against United States troops be charged with treason? Does the January 6th riot in Washington D.C. constitute “levying war”? Despite ongoing acts of levying war, and providing aid and comfort to enemies, the United States has not had a treason conviction since the 1950's. การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) พัฒนาแบบวัดความสามารถในการฟื้นพลังและแบบวัดการตอบตามความปรารถนาของสังคมสำหรับนักเรียนพยาบาลทหาร 2) ตรวจสอบคุณสมบัติทางจิตมิติ 3) ศึกษาระดับความสามารถในการฟื้นพลัง 4) เปรียบเทียบระดับความสามารถในการฟื้นพลังของนักเรียนพยาบาลทหารที่มีการตอบตามความปรารถนาของสังคมและไม่มีการตอบตามความปรารถนาของสังคม สำหรับตัวอย่างวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือ นักเรียนพยาบาลทหารของวิทยาลัยพยาบาลในสังกัดกระทรวงกลาโหม จำนวน 492 คน ดำเนินการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยสถิติบรรยาย ค่าอำนาจจำแนก ค่าดัชนีความสอดคล้องระหว่างข้อคำถามกับนิยามตัวแปรที่ต้องการวัด การวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบเชิงยืนยันอันดับที่สอง ค่าสัมประสิทธิ์แอลฟาของครอนบาค ผลการวิจัย พบว่า 1. แบบวัดความสามารถในการฟื้นพลังที่พัฒนาขึ้นมีจำนวน 58 ข้อ เป็นแบบมาตรประมาณค่า 5 ระดับ ประกอบด้วย 3 องค์ประกอบย่อย คือ ปัจจัยสนับสนุนจากภายนอก ปัจจัยสนับสนุนจากภายใน ปัจจัยด้านทักษะในการจัดการปัญหาและสัมพันธภาพระหว่างบุคคล ส่วนแบบวัดการตอบตามความปรารถนาของสังคมมีจำนวน 10 ข้อ เป็นมาตรประมาณค่า 7 ระดับ ประกอบด้วย 2 องค์ประกอบ คือ การหลอกลวงตนเอง และ การจัดการความประทับใจ 2. คุณสมบัติทางจิตมิติของแบบวัดความสามารถในการฟื้นพลังสำหรับนักเรียนพยาบาลทหาร ประกอบด้วย 1) ค่าอำนาจจำแนก มีค่าอยู่ระหว่าง 0.31-0.66 2) ค่าดัชนีความสอดคล้องระหว่างข้อคำถามกับนิยามตัวแปรที่ต้องการวัด อยู่ระหว่าง 0.60-1.00 3) การวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบเชิงยืนยันอันดับที่สอง พบว่า โมเดลการวัดมีความสอดคล้องกับข้อมูลเชิงประจักษ์ (χ2=95.32 df=86 p=0.23 CFI=1.00 NFI=0.92 RMR=0.04 RMSEA= 0.00) 4) สัมประสิทธิ์แอลฟาของครอนบาค เท่ากับ 0.95 ส่วนคุณสมบัติทางจิตมิติของแบบการวัดการตอบความปรารถนาของสังคมประกอบด้วย 1) ค่าอำนาจจำแนก มีค่าอยู่ระหว่าง 0.20-0.46 ค่าดัชนีความสอดคล้องข้อคำถามกับตัวแปรที่ต้องการวัด อยู่ระหว่าง 0.60-1.00 3) การวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบเชิงยืนยันอันดับที่สอง พบว่า โมเดลการวัดมีความสอดคล้องกับข้อมูลเชิงประจักษ์ (χ2= 41.21 df=29 p=0.06 CFI=0.98 NFI=0.95 RMR=0.02 RMSEA=0.03 และ 4) สัมประสิทธิ์แอลฟาของครอนบาค 0.57 …

The aim of this research is to determine if the Irish Defence Forces would benefit from the introduction of change management processes when implementing new technological systems. The extant theory has neglected to examine the application of change management processes in military organisations, a shortcoming this thesis addresses. The research draws on semistructured interviews undertaken with military and civil servant professionals from the Irish Defence Forces and the Department of Defence. Analysis of the interviews resulted in a number of new findings. The research highlighted the current deficiency in long-term funding and long-term strategic planning at the political level, and …

In the 50 years between 1869 and 1918, 50 African Americans were lynched in a sparsely populated three-county area, far removed from the Cotton Belt and outside the ambit of the Tobacco Black Patch, along the state line in northwest Tennessee and southwestern Kentucky. The characteristics of lynchings identified in previous studies have little relevance to the lynchings carried out in this three-county area where the African American population seldom exceeded twenty percent of the overall population. In most treatises, International Economic Law (IEL) is presented as a neutral set of doctrines, principles, and rules. Actors may compete against one another and vie for economic success, but the rules are indifferent towards the outcome. It is this notion of an apolitical IEL that we challenge throughout this article. Using a case study of Venezuela, we illustrate how the rules of the international economic order are leveraged by the UK, the EU, and the United States to engineer preferred political outcomes.
