The Anchor, Volume 128.14: January 28, 2015, Hope College
The Anchor: 2015
The Anchor began in 1887 and was first issued weekly in 1914. Covering national and campus news alike, Hope College’s student-run newspaper has grown over the years to encompass over two-dozen editors, reporters, and staff. For much of The Anchor's history, the latest issue was distributed across campus each Wednesday throughout the academic school year (with few exceptions). In recent years The Anchor moved to monthly print issues and a more frequently updated website. The Anchor is now published in print twice per academic semester. Occasionally, the volume and/or issue numbering is irregular.

Experiences Of Computer Science Curriculum Design: A Phenomenological Study, Art Sloan, Brian Bowe
Experiences Of Computer Science Curriculum Design: A Phenomenological Study, Art Sloan, Brian Bowe
Articles
This paper presents a qualitative study of twelve computer science lecturers’ experiences of curriculum design of several degree programmes during a time of transition from year-long to semesterised courses, due to institutional policy change. The background to the study is outlined, as are the reasons for choosing the research methodology. The main findings are presented and the implications of the study described. The methodology chosen was hermeneutic phenomenology. The data were the texts of interview transcripts of the twelve participant lecturers. The experiences that emerged from analysis of the data grouped naturally in identifiable and presentable themes and these themes …

All Bark And No Bite? Rhetoric And Reality In The War On Terror, Roslyn Fuller
All Bark And No Bite? Rhetoric And Reality In The War On Terror, Roslyn Fuller
Indonesian Journal of International and Comparative Law
This paper argues that not only has the “war on terror” failed to hinder terrorism, it has also unequivocally failed to have any appreciable impact on the content of international law. The doctrine of the “war on terror” initially combined aspects of human rights and humanitarian legal regimes together with a much broadened definition of the term “conflict” and those who could be viewed as legitimate targets in a conflict. However, this new framework, put forward mainly by the United States failed to gain traction among other States, and even among US agencies. Thirteen years after the War on Terror …
