While larger living history museums have been frequently studied by scholars, smaller museums, like Coggeshall Farm Museum in Bristol, Rhode Island receive far less attention. Utilizing historical and institutional records, historical monographs, and literature from the fields of museum studies and anthropology, this study examines authenticity in the museum setting using Coggeshall Farm Museum as a case study, suggesting that despite the museum’s search for historical accuracy, the institution remains inauthentic to recorded history. This work explores the concepts of temporality, memory and history in the play La madrugada by Juan Tovar presented through the use of metatheatricality and intertextuality with works such as Pedro Páramo and various historical corridos. The processes through which official history is constructed are shown in contrast with collective memory that endures in the corrido, the “authentic” voice of the people, suggesting that the only possibility for redemption is found in memory, a space where one can learn from history to rectify the mistakes of the past whose impact in politics and society is felt to this …

Throughout his literary and legal careers, Fielding was concerned with the difficulties of reading and judging character accurately. He saw society as being rife with deceptive and duplicitous individuals and articulated his concerns in his writing, offering various advices to his readers. This thesis examines Fielding’s changing approaches to characterization and his proposed methods for judging character. This thesis examines the dramaturgical strategies of protest employed by the contemporary Ukrainian protest group, FEMEN. In doing so, it draws from theories of protest as performance, outlined by Richard Schechner (1993) and Baz Kershaw (1999). The all-female group are arguably most well known for their use of the topless female body in protest. As such, this thesis will explore FEMEN’s use of toplessness in relation to Mary Russo’s notions of ‘female spectacle’ (1994), considering the ways in which the group might challenge understandings regarding the appropriate behaviours and appearances for women. วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาองค์ประกอบของตัวละครที่แสดงความเป็นตลาดในการแสดงละครรำ และกลวิธีการแสดงความเป็นตลาดในการแสดงละครรำ ใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงผสมผสาน (Mixed Method Research) (มุ่งเน้นการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเอกสารทางวิชาการ ข้อมูลจากการสัมภาษณ์ ภาพถ่ายและสื่ออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ การสังเกตการณ์ การฝึกปฏิบัติ การสนทนากลุ่มย่อย ประกอบประสบการของผู้วิจัย) สรุปผลการวิจัยด้วยรูปแบบพรรณนาวิเคราะห์ โดยศึกษาเฉพาะตัวละครที่มีบทบาทความเป็นตลาดในการแสดงละครรำในรายการศรีสุขนาฎกรรมของกรมศิลปากร ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2518-พ.ศ. 2559 (30 กันยายน 2559) ผลการวิจัย พบว่า ความเป็นตลาดเป็นการแสดงพฤติกรรมไม่สำรวมด้วยอารมณ์ความรู้สึกนึกคิด คำพูดและกิริยาท่าทางของตัวละครที่เป็นตัวแทนมนุษย์ซึ่งเป็นพฤติกรรมที่มีอยู่ในทุกตัวละคร องค์ประกอบของตัวละครที่แสดงความเป็นตลาดประกอบด้วย 4 ปัจจัยได้แก่ 1) ความขัดแย้งของตัวละคร 2) พื้นฐานของตัวละคร 3) สถานการณ์ของตัวละคร และ 4) เพลงที่แสดงความเป็นตลาดของตัวละคร กลวิธีการแสดงความเป็นตลาด มี 2 กลวิธีได้แก่ 1) การสวมวิญญาณความเป็นตลาดในการแสดงละครรำ 2 ขั้นตอน คือ ขั้นตีความบทบาทและอารมณ์ของตัวละคร และขั้นตีบทประกอบลีลาท่ารำและอารมณ์ความรู้สึกของตัวละคร 2) กลวิธีการแสดงความเป็นตลาดในการแสดงละครรำ มี 2 กลวิธีได้แก่ กลวิธีได้แก่ กลวิธีการแสดงความเป็นตลาดตามขนบละครรำของกรมศิลปากร (จารีตละครหลวง) 2 รูปแบบ คือ รูปแบบละครจารีตและรูปแบบละครตลาด และกลวิธีการแสดงความเป็นตลาดนอกขนบละครรำของกรมศิลปากร (นอกจารีตละครหลวง) ที่ปรากฎเฉพาะในการแสดงละครนอก 2 ประเภท คือ การเพิ่มเติมและการเปลี่ยนแปลงกระบวนการแสดงความเป็นตลาด ความเป็นตลาดเป็นสิ่งที่มีอยู่ในอุปนิสัยของมนุษย์ทุกระดับชั้น โดยมีกรอบมารยาททางสังคมเป็นแบบแผนให้ยึดถือปฏิบัติหรือเป็นเครื่องกลั่นกรอง หากมีสถานการณ์มากดดันอารมณ์ให้เกิดความรู้สึกรัก โลภ โกรธ หลง ก็จะส่งผลให้มนุษย์มีปฏิกิริยาทางอารมณ์และแสดงพฤติกรรมโต้ตอบอย่างหนึ่งอย่างใด แต่เมื่อความเป็นตลาดปรากฏเป็นบุคลิกลักษณะ อารมณ์และความรู้สึกนึกคิดของตัวละคร ตัวละครก็ย่อมแสดงพฤติกรรมเช่นเดียวกับมนุษย์ หากแต่แสดงให้เป็นไปตามระเบียบแบบแผนทางการแสดงละครแต่ละประเภทอย่างเคร่งครัด ความเป็นตลาดในละครรำเป็นงานวิจัยที่ค้นพบองค์ความรู้ใหม่หรืองานวิจัยเริ่มแรก (Original research) ที่ยังไม่มีผู้ใดได้ทำการศึกษาไว้ก่อนแล้ว (Knowledge gaps) ซึ่งเป็นประโยชน์ต่อวงวิชาการและวิชาชีพนาฏยศิลป์ไทย โดยเฉพาะการ แสดงละครรำและประยุกต์ใช้กับละครประเภทอื่น ๆ ด้วย

การศึกษาสถานภาพของงานนาฏกรรมในรัชกาลที่ 3 เป็นการวิจัยเชิงประวัติศาสตร์ที่มุ่งศึกษาปัจจัยทางสังคมที่มีผลต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงงานนาฏกรรม โดยมุ่งที่จะศึกษาประวัติศาสตร์นาฏกรรมในรัชกาลพระบาทสมเด็จพระนั่งเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว ระหว่าง พ.ศ. 2367 - 2394 โดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยผสมผสาน ที่ได้รวบรวมและค้นคว้าเอกสารชั้นต้นและชั้นรอง และหลักฐานทางประวัติศาสตร์และโบราณคดี ประเภทจิตรกรรมและประติมากรรม ผลการวิจัยพบว่างานนาฏกรรมในรัชกาลที่ 3 ยังคงปรากฏอยู่ในราชสำนักและนอกราชสำนัก มีหน้าที่ตอบสนองความต้องการของสังคมในเชิงพิธีกรรมและความบันเทิง แม้ว่าพระบาทสมเด็จพระนั่งเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวมิได้ใส่พระราชหฤทัยและให้ความสำคัญเรื่องงานนาฏกรรมมากนัก แต่กลับทำให้รูปแบบนาฏกรรมของหลวงเผยแพร่ไปสู่วังของเจ้านายและเรือนของขุนนาง จนทำให้มีการละเมิดธรรมเนียมราชสำนักเรื่องการมีละครหรือมโหรีผู้หญิงประดับเกียรติยศ นอกจากนี้ปัจจัยจากสภาพสังคม เช่น ระบบเศรษฐกิจ ระบบไพร่ การขยายตัวของพระนคร ความหลากหลายทางเชื้อชาติและศาสนา เป็นผลให้นาฏกรรมกระจายตัวโดยแพร่หลาย ประชากรมีรายได้เพิ่มมากขึ้นจนสามารถใช้จ่ายเพื่อความบันเทิงและการพนันได้ ปรากฏพิกัดการกระจายตัวของนาฏกรรมทั่วไปในพระนคร เมืองประเทศราชและหัวเมืองสำคัญ โดยเฉพาะวัดที่สร้างและปฏิสังขรณ์ในรัชกาลที่ 3 มากกว่า 53 วัด เป็นแหล่งที่ต้องใช้นาฏกรรมเป็นมหรสพสมโภชเมื่อเฉลิมฉลองและวันสำคัญทางศาสนา รูปแบบและวิธีแสดงนาฏกรรมที่ประกอบด้วยบริบทต่าง ๆ ยังคงแสดงตามแบบจารีตดั้งเดิม แต่ส่วนที่แปรเปลี่ยนจากเดิมคือกลุ่มนายทุน กลุ่มการจัดการ กลุ่มนักแสดง และกลุ่มผู้ชม การที่นาฏกรรมยังคงมีกลุ่มผู้จัดแสดงอย่างต่อเนื่องทำให้ งานนาฏกรรมได้รับการสืบทอดจวบจนปัจจุบัน นาฏกรรมในรัชกาลที่ 3 จึงเป็นวิถีทางหนึ่งที่ช่วยอนุรักษ์งานนาฏกรรมให้มีการต่อยอดและสร้างสรรค์งานที่หลากหลายได้เพิ่มมากขึ้นอย่างมีคุณภาพตราบจนทุกวันนี้

Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a potentially lethal event. Anticoagulation is the cornerstone of treatment. Inferior vena cava filters (IVCFs) may be used in circumstances when anticoagulation is contraindicated or as an adjunct to anticoagulation. IVCF use is not without controversy due to concerns over their safety profile, differences in guidelines from international societies, and a limited randomized control trial evidence. We retrospectively undertook a review of IVCF use over a three-year period (2014–2016) at our center, which has a large oncology service but no trauma unit. This study reappraises the role and value of statues (i.e. the figure as sculpture) in order to determine what happens when we encounter these objects. The consideration and construction of statues in my studio practice has generated specific insights into statues as person-shaped objects and into our encounter with these objects. From the perspective of a practice making statues this study addresses how, through the encounter, statues both stimulate and obscure our perceptions of them as objects. ในปัจจุบันศิลปะสื่อใหม่มีบทบาทในศิลปะร่วมสมัยในประเทศไทย ทว่าในการเข้าถึงข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับศิลปะสื่อใหม่ในประเทศไทยนั้นไม่มีความแพร่หลาย คนรุ่นใหม่ที่สนใจศิลปะสื่อใหม่นั้นเข้าถึงข้อมูลได้ยาก มีช่องว่างในการรับรู้ข้อมูลศิลปะสื่อใหม่ การเรียนการสอนในระดับมหาวิทยาลัยส่วนใหญ่ไม่มีการเน้นย้ำหรือกล่าวถึง งานเขียนภาษาไทยไม่มีการจัดทำเป็นตำรา และงานแปลมีจำกัดหนังสือเพียงไม่กี่เล่มเท่านั้น เมื่อกล่าวถึงธรรมชาติของการหาความรู้ของคนรุ่นใหม่ที่สนใจศิลปะพบว่ากลุ่มคนดังกล่าวได้ใช้อินเทอร์เน็ตในการหาข้อมูลเป็นหลัก แต่น้อยที่จะมีความสนใจในเนื้อหาที่เป็นการเขียนที่มีรายละเอียดเยอะโดยเฉพาะข้อมูลภาษาอังกฤษ ดังนั้น จากแนวความคิดเพื่อออกแบบชุดความรู้ ลดช่องว่างในการเข้าถึงข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับศิลปะสื่อใหม่สำหรับคนไทยรุ่นใหม่ที่สนใจ มาสู่การวิจัยการทำความเข้าใจองค์ความรู้ศิลปะสื่อใหม่ นำมาสร้างชุดข้อมูลนำเสนอแก่กลุ่มเป้าหมายเพื่อเข้าถึงและพัฒนาองค์ความรู้ต่อได้ การออกแบบชุดความรู้ดังกล่าวได้ถูกนำเสนอผ่านนิตยสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์มัลติมีเดียออนไลน์บนเว็บไซต์ที่มีชื่อว่าเทเลเอสเทติกส์โดยมีการกำหนดขอบเขตของงานวิจัยของงานวิจัยเผยแพร่ออกมา 2 ฉบับคือ เทเลเอสเทติกส์ฉบับที่หนึ่งเน้นไปที่การปูพื้นความรู้เกี่ยวกับศิลปะสื่อใหม่ ส่วนเทเลเอสเทติกส์ฉบับที่สองเป็นการนำต่อยอดองค์ความรู้จากฉบับที่หนึ่งและเน้นไปที่ศิลปะแห่งเสียงเป็นแขนงที่คาบเกี่ยวกับศิลปะสื่อใหม่ให้กลุ่มเป้าหมายเรียนรู้เนื้อหาดังกล่าว

การสร้างสรรค์นาฏยศิลป์จากความหมายนามเต็มของ "กรุงเทพมหานคร" มีรูปแบบการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพเละการวิจัยเชิงสร้างสรรค์ ตลอดจนมีวัตถุประสงค์ศึกษาหารูปแบบแนวคิดหลังการสร้างสรรค์นาฏยศิลป์ที่ได้จากนามเต็ม"กรุงเทพมหานคร"และเพื่อศึกษาแนวคิดหลังการสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน อีกทั้งผู้วิจัยมุ่งศึกษาประวัติศาสตร์นามกรุงเทพมหานคร รวมถึงข้อมูลทางเอกสารและงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง การสัมภาษณ์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญทางด้านนาฏยศิลป์ และผู้ที่มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องกับงานวิจัย การสังเกตการณ์ ประสบการณ์ทางการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานของผู้วิจัย เกณฑ์มาตรฐานศิลปิน และสื่อสารสนเทศที่เกี่ยวข้อง สู่กระบวนการวิเคราะห์ สรุปผล และการนำเสนอผลของงานวิจัย โดยผู้วิจัยมีวิธีดำเนินการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพและการวิจัยเชิงสร้างสรรค์ โดยสามารถจำแนกตามองค์นาฏยศิลป์ทั้ง 8 องค์ประกอบ คือ 1) การออกแบบบทการแสดง 2) การคัดเลือกนักแสดง 3) การออกแบบลีลานาฏยศิลป์ 4) การออกแบบเสียงและดนตรีที่ใช้ประกอบการแสดง 5) การออกแบบอุปกรณ์ประกอบการแสดง 6) การออกแบบพื้นที่สำหรับการแสดง 7) การออกแบบเครื่องแต่งกาย และ 8) การออกแบบแสง อีกทั้งสามารถจำแนกแนวคิดที่ได้หลังจากการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานได้ 7 ประการ คือ 1) การสร้างสรรค์นาฏยศิลป์จากความหมายนามเต็มของ " กรุงเทพมหานคร " 2) ความคิดสร้างสรรค์ในผลงานนาฏยศิลป์ 3) สัญลักษณ์ในงานนาฏยศิลป์ 4 ) ทฤษฎีทางด้านนาฏยศิลป์ ดุริยางคศิลป์ ทัศนศิลป์ 5) แนวคิดของนาฏยศิลป์ร่วมสมัย 6) การสะท้อนสภาพสังคมผ่านการสร้างสรรค์ทางนาฏยศิลป์ และ 7) แนวคิดของนาฏยศิลป์หลังสมัยใหม่ นอกจากนี้ผู้วิจัยได้นำองค์ความรู้ในหลากหลายศาสตร์เป็นพื้นฐานที่นำสู่การสร้างสรรค์ผลงานทางนาฏยศิลป์จากความหมายนามเต็มของ "กรุงเทพมหานคร" สามารถนำมาเป็นต้นแบบในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานทางด้านนาฏยศิลป์ที่ผู้สร้างงานพิจารณาหรือวิเคราะห์จากความหมายของนามเฉพาะ เพื่อให้เกิดความเข้าใจในการการสื่อความหมายให้เป็นรูปธรรม โดยผ่านงานนาฏยศิลป์ อีกทั้งงานวิจัยในครั้งนี้ยังสามารถเป็นประโยชน์ในการต่อยอดองค์ความรู้ต่อไป
