วิทยานิพนธ์หัวข้อ การแสดงพระราชทานประกอบบทขับร้องพระราชนิพนธ์ ในสมเด็จพระกนิษฐาธิราชเจ้า กรมสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี ในงานปี่พาทย์ดึกดำบรรพ์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษากระบวนการออกแบบการแสดงพระราชทานประกอบบทพระราชนิพนธ์ในสมเด็จพระกนิษฐาธิราชเจ้า กรมสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี ปี พ.ศ. 2559 - พ.ศ. 2565 ผู้วิจัยใช้กระบวนการศึกษาข้อมูลจากเอกสาร งานวิจัย และสัมภาษณ์ผู้ที่มีส่วนร่วมในงาน ตลอดจนสังเกตการณ์ และร่วมแสดงในงานดังกล่าว ผู้วิจัยพบว่าการแสดงงานปี่พาทย์ดึกดำบรรพ์ แบ่งออกเป็น 2 ส่วนคือ การบรรเลงวงดนตรีไทยปี่พาทย์ดึกดำบรรพ์ และการบรรเลงดนตรีไทยวงสายใยจามจุรี ประกอบบทพระราชนิพนธ์ การแสดงประกอบบทพระราชนิพนธ์ ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2550 - พ.ศ. 2565 มีทั้งหมด 12 ชุดการแสดง โดยในปี พ.ศ. 2559 - พ.ศ. 2565 ภาควิชานาฏยศิลป์ ได้รับมอบหมายจากจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ให้ดำเนินการออกแบบ และจัดการแสดงประกอบบทพระราชนิพนธ์ รวมทั้งสิ้น 5 ชุดการแสดง การแสดงประกอบบทพระราชนิพนธ์ ให้ความบันเทิง และแฝงข้อคิดเตือนใจผู้ชมให้นำไปปฏิบัติตนได้อย่างทันสมัยตลอดเวลา พระองค์ท่านโปรดให้ใส่สำเนียงเพลงออกภาษา ในการประพันธ์ดนตรี และทรงพระราชทาน พระราชวินิจฉัย ตลอดการแสดง แนวดนตรีเน้นการประพันธ์เพลง ร่วมสมัย ผสมผสานเพลงไทยเดิมของโบราณกับประพันธ์ขึ้นใหม่ ร่วมกับวงดนตรีสากล ซียูแบรนด์ การแสดงประกอบบทพระราชนิพนธ์ ตีความตามบท และเลือกนำเสนอในฉากที่มีเนื้อหาโดดเด่น มีทั้งการแสดงทั้งเรื่อง ได้แก่ นเรนทราทิตย์ : วีรกษัตริย์ผู้ทรงคุณธรรม การแสดงบางช่วง ได้แก่ เพลงภาษาพาสนุก และรูปสลักหินวีรบุรุษโบราณ การแสดงระบำตอนท้าย ได้แก่ เที่ยวไปในแดนชวา การออกแบบท่ารำประกอบการแสดง มีทั้งรำใช้บท และสร้างสรรค์ท่าทางขึ้นใหม่ โดยทุกขั้นตอนการสร้างงานอยู่ในพระราชวินิจฉัย และการกำกับของกรมสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารีโดยตลอด นับเป็นพระมหากรุณาธิคุณอันหาที่สุดมิได้ ที่ทรงมีพระเมตตาพระราชทานบทพระราชนิพนธ์ และการแสดงประกอบ แสดงถึงพระอัจฉริยภาพอันสูงยากที่จะเปรียบได้ การแสดงประกอบบทพระราชนิพนธ์นับว่ามีคุณค่าทางด้านวิชาการ การดำเนินชีวิต และสามารถนำข้อคิดไปพัฒนาตนเองได้ตลอดเวลา อย่างไม่ล้าสมัย

วิทยานิพนธ์เรื่อง แนวคิดการเขียนหน้าและการแต่งหน้าในนาฏกรรมไทย เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ จากเอกสาร การสัมภาษณ์ การสังเกตการณ์ การมีส่วนร่วม ผลวิจัยพบว่า หน้ามีความสำคัญในการแสดงอัตลักษณ์ของมนุษย์ดังปรากฏในบัตรประจำตัวประชาชนทั่วโลก มนุษย์นิยมแต่งหน้าเพื่อความงดงามของตนและการแต่งหน้าเพื่อสร้างบุคลิกของตัวละคร ส่วนการเขียนหน้าเสริมจากการแต่งหน้าในนาฏกรรมก็เพื่อเน้นบุคลิกตัวละครตามจารีตนาฏยศิลป์ ได้แก่ กถักฬิของอินเดีย อุปรากรจีน คาบูกิของญี่ปุ่น และวายังวองของอินโดนีเซีย กับการแต่งหน้าและเขียนหน้าในนาฏกรรมไทยอันได้แก่ พระ นาง ยักษ์ และอมนุษย์ต่าง ๆ นั้น การวิจัยพบว่าแนวคิดนี้เริ่มต้นด้วยการคัดเลือกผู้แสดงที่มีรูปหน้ามีสัดส่วนใกล้เคียงกับใบหน้าของตัวละคร จากนั้นก็แต่งหน้าเพื่อเพิ่มและลดส่วนต่าง ๆ ทั้ง 7 ส่วนของใบหน้าตามหลักสากลให้ได้ใกล้เคียงกับเค้าหน้าของตัวละครให้มากที่สุด โดยทำการรองพื้นผิวหน้าด้วยครีมและแป้งฝุ่นสีต่าง ๆ เพื่อแรเงาปรับส่วนนูนและส่วนลึกของใบหน้าจนได้เค้าหน้าที่ต้องการเมื่อพิจารณาจากแสงไฟในมุมต่าง ๆ และขั้นสุดท้ายคือการบรรจงวาดเส้นลายกระหนกสีเข้มเพื่อเน้นส่วนต่างๆของใบหน้า อาทิ คิ้ว ตา ปาก คาง จอนหู และเพิ่มสัญลักษณ์เช่นอุณาโลมที่หว่างคิ้วเพื่อแสดงความเป็นเทพ กระบวนการเลือกรูปทรงของใบหน้า การแต่งเพื่อปรับรูปหน้าและการวาดเส้นบนส่วนต่างๆของหน้า ยังต้องสัมพันธ์กับรูปทรงสีสันของศิราภรณ์และพัสตราภรณ์ของตัวละครนั้นๆอีกด้วยจึงจะทำให้การแต่งหน้าและการเขียนหน้าในนาฏกรรมไทยสำหรับตัวละครนั้นๆมีผลสมบูรณ์ทุกประการ ผลการวิจัยนี้จะเป็นแนวทางในการวิจัยแนวทางสร้างเสริมความงามในนาฏกรรมไทยในมิติอื่นๆทางศิลปกรรมไทยต่อไปอย่างกว้างขวาง

This report describes research undertaken by the Center for Social & Demographic Research on Aging (CSDRA) within the Gerontology Institute at the University of Massachusetts Boston, on behalf of the Town of Arlington and the Arlington Council on Aging. This plan was created uniquely for Arlington, with input from residents, community partners, local businesses, government leaders and aging experts. Composer Kaija Saariaho’s 2006 work La Passion de Simone often leaves audiences and critics at a loss to understand what they have witnessed. The title, subject, and sparse libretto only complicate this confusion. The genre of the work is ambiguous to many; some critics call it an opera, some an oratorio. Because the subject of the work, French philosopher Simone Weil, is widely unknown to the public, her placement within the framework of a Passion is often met with confusion if not criticism.

We can observe the conductor’s work at his performances and rehearsals. However, we cannot see the process of score preparation from the time they get the score to the downbeat of the first rehearsal because the conductor does this work alone. This dissertation discusses the debate among conductors past and present about whether, when, and how to use recordings as part of the score preparation. It considers the advantages and disadvantages of using recordings in the score preparation process. I conducted several types of research on the use of recordings by living conductors. Article 57(2) of the First Additional Protocol to the Geneva Conventions requires parties to an armed conflict to “do everything feasible to verify” their objects of attack and take “all precautions” to minimize civilian casualties and unintentional damage to civilian property. This obligation has been interpreted in international law to require state parties to set up an “effective intelligence gathering system” that would properly identify targets using all technical means at the disposal of the combating forces.

This thesis explores how an understanding of an immaterial dimension of human experience was expressed and experienced in the context of nineteenth century engagement with science and technology. Drawing upon methods of media archaeology, it presents examples of visual technologies where apparatus and images representative of scientific and technological objectivity appear to have been appropriated and modified for the purpose of experiencing this dimension, an experience this thesis calls enchantment. The thesis suggests that some period specific behaviours associated with these visual technologies are sophisticated and subtle mechanisms that contribute to the affective and cognitive experience of enchantment. Warzone exposure potentially impacts the mental and physical health of veterans who receive a diagnosis of PTSD. There is limited research addressing the adjustments of the potentially morally injurious event(s) (PMIEs) experienced by Christian U.S. Army female combat veterans diagnosed with PTSD who returned home from Iraq and Afghanistan warzones post - 9/11. To better understand the impact of PMIEs experienced by the target population, a study of the integration of the transpersonal-existential meaning-based model was used. This article examines seven case studies concerning college libraries addressing demands collated by the Black Liberation Collective in 2015. Six years out from the publication of the lists, we evaluate statements issued by the libraries and posted on their websites, the promises that have been made to address inequities, and the ensuing actions the libraries have taken to create a welcoming, inclusive community. According to research by AHEAD (2021), students with specific learning difficulties are accessing third level education in greater numbers than ever before. My research has shown this to be the case also, however, my research, alongside a larger body of research (Clouder 2020; O’Brien, 2019; McCullagh, 2018) have highlighted that student with dyslexia tend not to access the support services.
