การสร้างสรรค์ละครรำเรื่องธรรมาธรรมะสงคราม, ธนพล สุขสมรูป

วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสร้างสรรค์ละครรำเรื่องธรรมาธรรมะสงครามเป็นวิจัยแบบผสมผสานประกอบด้วยการค้นคว้าเอกสาร การสัมภาษณ์ และการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานนาฏยศิลป์ ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ธรรมาธรรมะสงคราม พระบาทสมเด็จพระมงกุฎเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวทรงพระราชนิพนธ์ขึ้นเป็นบทพากย์ มีความโดดเด่นในเรื่องคุณธรรม เคยนำมาจัดแสดงแนวโขนแต่ไม่ได้รับความนิยมผู้วิจัยสนใจนำบทพระราชนิพนธ์จัดทำในรูปแบบละครรำ การทดลองสร้างงานในครั้งนี้ผู้วิจัยสร้างสรรค์ขึ้นมาใหม่แต่งยังคงยึดรูปแบบจารีตของละครรำ มีกระบวนการสร้างสรรค์ประกอบด้วย 1.บทละคร เป็นการถอดความจากบทพากย์พระราชนิพนธ์เรื่องธรรมาธรรมะสงคราม มาทำเป็นบทละคร โดยคงรูปแบบของคำศัพท์เดิมไว้ให้มากที่สุด 2.การบรรจุเพลง ได้แก่ เพลงช้าประสม เพลงเวสสุกรรม(ประสานเสียง) และสอดแทรกการสวดโอ้เอ้วิหารราย 3.เครื่องแต่งกาย ออกแบบเครื่องแต่งกายตัวละครธรรมะเทวบุตร และอธรรมะเทวบุตร 4.การออกแบบท่ารำ ได้แก่ 1.ท่ารำเฉพาะของตัวละคร 2.ท่ารำกลมบนราชรถ 3.กระบวนท่ารบบนราชรถ โดยผ่านการตรวจสอบจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญในด้านต่าง ๆ ในการทดลองสร้างงานในครั้งนี้หากมีแนวคิดที่ดี ความรู้ที่ถูกต้องสามารถนำมาเป็นแนวทางในการสร้างสรรค์การแสดงได้หลากหลายรูปแบบ

วิทยานิพนธ์เรื่อง “การแสดงโขนโรงเรียนสาธิต” มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการจัดแสดงโขนของโรงเรียนสาธิตระดับมัธยมศึกษาในกรุงเทพมหานคร โดยมุ่งศึกษากระบวนการจัดแสดงโขนที่ดำเนินการอย่างต่อเนื่องในช่วง พ.ศ. 2562–2567 การวิจัยฉบับนี้ใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยการศึกษาจากเอกสาร ได้แก่ หนังสือ วิจัย บทความที่เกี่ยวข้องกับนาฏยศิลป์ โขน การจัดการแสดง เก็บข้อมูลภาคสนามจากการสัมภาษณ์ผู้มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้อง 4 กลุ่ม ได้แก่ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญทางด้านนาฏยศิลป์และโขน ผู้ฝึกสอน ผู้เรียน และผู้ปกครอง และการสังเกตการณ์แบบมีส่วนร่วมและไม่มีส่วนร่วม ผลการวิจัยพบว่า โรงเรียนสาธิตระดับมัธยมศึกษาในกรุงเทพมหานครที่มีการจัดแสดงโขนอย่างต่อเนื่องตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2554 ถึงปัจจุบัน ได้แก่ โรงเรียนสาธิตมหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒ ประสานมิตร (ฝ่ายมัธยม) ใช้ทฤษฎีพหุปัญญา โรงเรียนสาธิตแห่งมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ ใช้แนวคิด 1 ศ 5 ส และโรงเรียนดรุณสิกขาลัย มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าธนบุรี ใช้การเรียนรู้เชิงสร้างสรรค์ด้วยปัญญา แต่ละโรงเรียนมีแนวทางการสอนที่แตกต่างกันตามปรัชญาการศึกษา แต่มีพันธกิจร่วมกันในการทำนุบำรุงศิลปวัฒนธรรม ได้รับความร่วมมือจากผู้บริหาร อาจารย์ ผู้เรียน และผู้ปกครอง การจัดแสดงโขนในโรงเรียนสาธิตมีบทบาทสำคัญในการอนุรักษ์และเผยแพร่วัฒนธรรมไทยให้เยาวชน ช่วยพัฒนาทักษะการเรียนรู้ ทักษะชีวิต และคุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ของผู้เรียน เช่น ความมีวินัย ความรับผิดชอบ และความภาคภูมิใจในวัฒนธรรมไทย ควรมีการศึกษาทฤษฎีหรือแนวคิดอื่นเพิ่มเติมเพื่อนำมาประยุกต์ใช้ในการสอนโขนให้มีประสิทธิภาพมากยิ่งขึ้นในอนาคต

การแสดงเดี่ยวขับร้องระดับมหาบัณฑิตโดย กมลพร คงจินดา จัดทำขึ้นภายใต้แก่นเรื่อง Moonlit Serenade: A Journey of Love โดยนำเสนอบทเพลงจำนวน 12 บท ซึ่งแบ่งออกเป็น บทเพลงอาเรีย 5 บท บทเพลงร้องศิลป์ 4 บท และบทเพลงจากละครเพลง 3 บท บทเพลงทั้งหมดถูก ร้อยเรียงเป็น 3 ช่วง ถ่ายทอดเส้นทางของความรักตั้งแต่ความสุข ความเศร้า ไปจนถึงการปล่อยวาง การเลือกบทเพลงจากหลากหลายแนวและยุคสมัย ครอบคลุมช่วงเวลาทางดนตรีและแนวทางการขับร้องที่แตกต่างกัน ส่งผลให้ผู้วิจัยได้ฝึกฝนทักษะทั้งด้านเทคนิค ตลอดจนฝึกการตีความบทเพลงตามบริบท ทางวัฒนธรรมและอารมณ์อย่างลึกซึ้ง ผ่านกระบวนการวิเคราะห์ ฝึกซ้อม และการแสดงจริง วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้จึงไม่เพียงเป็นการแสดงออกทางศิลปะ แต่ยังเป็นการเรียนรู้ที่พัฒนาความเข้าใจในบทเพลงหลากหลายประเภท ซึ่งสามารถต่อยอดในเชิงวิชาชีพด้านการขับร้องและการสอนในอนาคต

การสร้างศิลปนิพนธ์นาฏยกรรมไทยในช่วงสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดไวรัสโคโรนา 2019, ธัญวุฒิ พยายาม

วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการจัดการเรียนการสอนและการปรับการดำเนินการสร้างงานนาฏกรรมในรายวิชาศิลปนิพนธ์ของสถาบันอุดมศึกษาในช่วงสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดของไวรัสโคโรนา 2019 โดยกำหนดขอบเขตการศึกษาเฉพาะช่วงปีการศึกษา 2563–2565 และศึกษาจากสถาบันอุดมศึกษาที่เปิดสอนวิชาศิลปนิพนธ์ด้านนาฏยกรรมไทยจำนวน 7 สถาบัน ได้แก่ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย มหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏสวนสุนันทา มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏบ้านสมเด็จเจ้าพระยา มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏธนบุรี มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏจันทรเกษม และมหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏพระนคร จากการศึกษาพบว่า รายวิชาศิลปนิพนธ์ แบ่งออกเป็น 2 ประเภทคือ ศิลปนิพนธ์เชิงอนุรักษ์ และศิลปนิพนธ์เชิงสร้างสรรค์ ในช่วงก่อนเกิดการแพร่ระบาด นิยมจัดแสดงผลงานบนเวทีต่อสาธารณชน แต่ในช่วงสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดไวรัสโคโรนา 2019 พบปัญหาในหลายด้าน ได้แก่ ปัญหาด้านสถานที่ ด้านอุปกรณ์ ด้านความเสถียรของสัญญาณอินเทอร์เน็ต ด้านสมาธิ และสภาพจิตใจของผู้เรียน ปัญหาเฉพาะของศิลปนิพนธ์เชิงอนุรักษ์ ได้แก่ ด้านการต่อท่ารำ ด้านการงบประมาณ ด้านสถานที่ และด้านคุณภาพผลงาน ส่วนศิลปนิพนธ์เชิงสร้างสรรค์พบปัญหาด้านสถานที่ ด้านการฝึกซ้อม การลงพื้นที่เก็บข้อมูล การจำกัดจำนวนผู้แสดง และด้านงบประมาณ การปรับรูปแบบการนำเสนอศิลปนิพนธ์ในช่วงวิกฤตนี้แบ่งออกเป็น 3 รูปแบบ ได้แก่ 1) ด๊านซ์ฟิล์ม (Dance Film) ซึ่งใช้เทคนิคภาพยนตร์มาสนับสนุนการแสดงท่านาฏยศิลป์ 2) การบันทึกวีดิทัศน์ เน้นการถ่ายทอดท่ารำ 3) การแสดงสดบนเวทีซึ่งกลับมาใช้เมื่อสถานการณ์คลี่คลายผลการศึกษาสะท้อนถึงความสามารถในการปรับตัวของทั้งผู้เรียนและผู้สอนภายใต้ข้อจำกัดของสถานการณ์ การใช้เทคโนโลยีและการสื่อสารทางไกลมีบทบาทสำคัญต่อการจัดการเรียนการสอนศิลปนิพนธ์ในยุควิกฤต

Despite DBI’s documented benefits globally, few researchers have examined its integration with digital technologies in the Myanmar educational context. This quasi-experimental study aims to 1) investigate how drama-based instruction (DBI) combined with digital learning tools affects English oral communication ability among Myanmar secondary EFL students and 2) explore their perceptions towards the intervention. The study engaged 23 (Grade 5-9) EFL students from a language training school in Shan State, Myanmar. ร่องรอยแห่งการดำรงอยู่ เป็นชุดผลงานศิลปะแสดงสดเชิงจัดวาง ที่สื่อถึงการเชื่อมโยงกันของความเป็นปัจเจกและความเป็นกลุ่ม ในแง่ของของความเป็นมนุษย์และสิ่งที่ไม่ใช่มนุษย์ โดยอาศัยทฤษฎีศักยภาพที่ถูกทำให้รู้สึก เป็นกรอบแนวคิดหลักในการทำวิจัย กระบวนการทำวิจัยเป็นไปโดยศึกษาค้นคว้ากระบวนการเกิดขึ้นของปฏิกิริยาตอบสนอง เพื่อสร้างชุดข้อความแห่งปฏิกิริยาตอบสนอง ซึ่งอาศัยระยะเวลาเก็บบันทึกตั้งแต่ปี ค.ศ. 2022 – 2024ชุดข้อความแห่งปฏิกิริยาตอบสนอง ถูกใช้เป็นฐานหลักในการพัฒนาไปสู่การสร้างสรรค์ชุดผลงานศิลปะจำนวน 5 ชิ้น ในรูปแบบที่แตกต่างกัน ได้แก่ หนังสือรวมเล่ม, ศิลปะจัดวาง ศิลปะซาวน์อาร์ต ศิลปะภาพเคลื่อนไหว และศิลปะแสดงสด ที่มีกระบวนการสร้างสรรค์อันเป็นไปเพื่อสื่อให้เห็นถึงการส่งผลกระทบซึ่งกันและกันของร่างกายมนุษย์ ธรรมชาติ ปัญญาประดิษฐ์ และความเป็นวัตถุ ผ่านการสั่งการและการถูกสั่งการ ทั้งนี้ กระบวนการทดลองและชุดผลงานดังกล่าวได้รับการเผยแพร่ ในเทศกาล นิทรรศการ โครงการศิลปินพำนัก ทั้งสิ้น 7 ครั้ง การเผยแพร่ผลงานในวาระที่แตกต่างกัน เผยให้เห็นถึง การเชื่อมโยงกันความเป็นปัจเจกและความเป็นกลุ่ม อันเกิดจากการที่ผู้แสดง ผู้ชม และวัตถุ ที่ปฏิสัมพันธ์ร่วมกัน มีการสลับบทบาทกันไปมา เกิดเป็นลูกโซ่แห่งปฏิกิริยาตอบสนองทางร่างกายที่มีต่อชุดผลงาน ในฐานะสิ่งที่ถูกทำให้กระทำ ซึ่งแผ่ขยายแบบทบทวีคูณเป็นวงกว้างในแนวราบ การเกิดขึ้นของแต่ละการกระทำ การแสดงบทบาท และการตอบสนอง ต่างสามารถเกิดขึ้นได้อย่างไม่มีลำดับขั้นตอน เกิดเป็นการกระทำร่วมกัน ที่แปรเปลี่ยนสิ่งที่ถูกทำให้กระทำ มาสู่สิ่งที่ถูกทำให้กระทำ ตามแต่เหตุปัจจัย ภายใต้ความเป็นไปได้อันหลากหลาย

งานวิจัยเชิงสร้างสรรค์เล่มมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาหาแนวทางและรูปแบบของ การสร้างสรรค์ผลงานนาฏยศิลป์ โดยได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากความดั้งเดิมของโนรา ซึ่งเป็นศิลปะการแสดงพื้นบ้านของภาคใต้ที่กำลังเสื่อมคลายลงตามบริบทของยุคสมัย งานวิจัยนี้ดำเนินการในลักษณะของการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพและการวิจัยเชิงสร้างสรรค์ โดยใช้วิธีการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากเอกสารที่เกี่ยวข้องกับโนรา การสัมภาษณ์ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ การสังเกตการณ์ภาคสนาม การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลจากเกณฑ์มาตรฐานทางศิลปิน ตลอดจนประสบการณ์ตรงของผู้วิจัย เพื่อนำมาวิเคราะห์และออกแบบกระบวนการสร้างสรรค์ผ่านองค์ประกอบทางนาฏยศิลป์ทั้ง 8 องค์ประกอบ ได้แก่ การออกแบบบทการแสดง การคัดเลือกนักแสดง การออกแบบลีลานาฏยศิลป์ การออกแบบเครื่องแต่งกาย การออกแบบดนตรีและเสียงประกอบ การออกแบบอุปกรณ์ประกอบการแสดง การออกแบบพื้นที่การแสดงและการออกแบบแสง ผลจากการสร้างสรรค์ดังกล่าว ผู้วิจัยได้สังเคราะห์แนวคิดหลังการสร้างสรรค์ออกเป็นประเด็นสำคัญ ได้แก่ การคำนึงถึงประเด็นความดั้งเดิมของโนรา การคำนึงถึงประเด็นทฤษฎี ทางศิลปกรรมศาสตร์ การคำนึงถึงประเด็นการใช้สัญลักษณ์ในงานนาฏยศิลป์ การคำนึงถึงประเด็นหลักพื้นฐานของการสร้างงานนาฏยศิลป์ไทยแบบอนุรักษ์และการคำนึงถึงประเด็นความคิดสร้างสรรค์ซึ่งทั้งหมดนี้ ได้กลายเป็นองค์ประกอบสำคัญในการดำเนินงานสร้างสรรค์ผลงานชุดนี้ ทั้งนี้เพื่อตอกย้ำและธำรงไว้ซึ่งรูปแบบอันดั้งเดิมของโนราและยังเป็นแนวทางในการพัฒนาองค์ความรู้ใหม่ที่สามารถต่อยอดการประยุกต์ใช้ความเป็นโนราในบริบทของนาฏยศิลป์ร่วมสมัย โดยไม่ละเลยรากเหง้าทางวัฒนธรรมของสายตระกูลโนราในแต่ละภูมิภาค อันจะเป็นคุณูปการ ต่อการสืบสานและพัฒนาศิลปะการแสดงของไทยในระยะยาว

วิทยานิพนธ์เรื่อง การสร้างสรรค์นาฏยศิลป์ที่เกี่ยวกับการหลงลืมตัวตนของคนในสังคมเป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพและการวิจัยเชิงสร้างสรรค์ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษารูปแบบ แนวคิด และกระบวนการสร้างสรรค์นาฏยศิลป์ที่สะท้อนภาวะการหลงลืมตัวตนของมนุษย์ในบริบทของสังคมร่วมสมัย โดยได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากบทละครเรื่อง ด็อกเตอร์ ฟาวสตัส (Doctor Faustus) ของคริสโตเฟอร์ มาร์โลว์ (Christopher Marlowe) ซึ่งผู้วิจัยได้ทำการที่มีการศึกษาข้อมูลจากเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในงานวิจัย ได้แก่ เอกสาร ตำรา หนังสือ บทละคร การสัมภาษณ์ การสังเกตการณ์ สื่อสารสนเทศ ประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวของผู้วิจัย และเกณฑ์การสร้างมาตรฐานการยกย่องบุคคลต้นแบบทางด้านนาฏยศิลป์ มาเป็นแนวทางในการวิเคราะห์สังเคราะห์ เพื่อสร้างสรรค์ผลงานทางด้านนาฏยศิลป์ ผลการวิจัยพบว่าได้ทั้งรูปแบบ และแนวคิดดังนี้ (1) รูปแบบการสร้างสรรค์นาฏยศิลป์ ผู้วิจัยสามารถจำแนกตามองค์ประกอบในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานทางด้านนาฏยศิลป์ทั้ง 8 ประการ ได้แก่ 1) การออกบทการแสดง สร้างสรรค์ขึ้นจากกปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการหลงลืมตัวตันทั้ง 6 ประการ ได้แก่ 1) การขาดการสนับสนุนวัยเด็ก (Lack of Childhood Support) 2) ความกดดันจากสังคมและวัฒนธรรม (Social and Cultural Pressure) 3) การไม่สามารถธำรงภาพลักษณ์ในสังคม (Inability to Maintain Social Image) 4) การขาดความมั่นคงในตัวตน (Lack of Identity Stability) 5) การสูญเสียบทบาท หรือการเปลี่ยนแปลงในชีวิต (Loss of Role / Life Transition) 6) การเปรียบเทียบตนเองผ่านสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ (Social Media Comparison) และบทละครทั้ง 6 เรื่อง ได้แก่ ได้แก่ บทละครเรื่อง บ้านตุ๊กตา (A Doll's House) โดย เฮนริก อิบเซน (Henrik Ibsen) บทละครเรื่อง เดอะ พิลโล แมน (The …

This study investigates the role of biomimetic kinetic façades in improving the daylighting performance of a reading room in Chittagong, Bangladesh. This design is inspired by the thigmonastic behavior of Mimosa pudica plants which adapts to environmental changes. การวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาสภาพปัญหาสมรรถนะการสื่อสารของผู้บริหารโรงเรียนเอกชน 2) ออกแบบโปรแกรมพัฒนาสมรรถนะการสื่อสารโดยใช้ละครเป็นฐานสำหรับผู้บริหารโรงเรียนเอกชน และ 3) วิเคราะห์ผลการใช้โปรแกรมดังกล่าว การดำเนินงานแบ่งออกเป็น 3 ระยะ ระยะที่ 1 ศึกษาสมรรถนะการสื่อสารของผู้บริหารโรงเรียนเอกชนสามัญศึกษา 3 ประเภท เก็บข้อมูลจากผู้อำนวยการ 3 คน และครู 9 คน รวม 12 คน ด้วยแบบสัมภาษณ์กึ่งโครงสร้าง 20 ข้อ (IOC = 0.76) พบว่าผู้บริหารต้องการพัฒนาการพูดมากที่สุด รองลงมาคือ การสอนงาน การจัดการทีม และการสร้างความสัมพันธ์กับผู้ร่วมงาน ระยะที่ 2 ออกแบบโปรแกรมพัฒนาสมรรถนะการสื่อสารโดยใช้ละครเป็นฐาน ระยะเวลา 180 นาที ประกอบด้วย 6 กิจกรรม ได้แก่ 1) อารัมภบท 2) อุ่นเครื่องร่างกาย 3) ฝึกสติและจินตนาการ 4) บทบาทสมมติ 5) การสะท้อนกลับ และ 6) การสรุป โดยอาศัยความเห็นจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญ 5 ท่าน ผ่านการระดมสมองอย่างเป็นระบบ และได้รับการตรวจสอบความเหมาะสมด้านโครงสร้าง เนื้อหา กระบวนการ และการประเมินผล ได้โปรแกรมที่สมบูรณ์ชื่อ "ข้ามขีดจำกัดการสื่อสารด้วยโปรแกรมพัฒนาผ่านการใช้ศาสตร์ละครเป็นฐาน" ระยะที่ 3 ทดสอบประสิทธิภาพโปรแกรมกับผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียนเอกชน 3 คน สัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกก่อนและหลังเข้าร่วม รวมถึงสังเกตพฤติกรรมระหว่างการฝึกอบรม พบว่าผู้บริหารมีการพัฒนาสมรรถนะการสื่อสารด้านการพูดที่ชัดเจน กระชับ มีความมั่นใจ และการใช้น้ำเสียงอย่างเหมาะสม รวมถึงการควบคุมอารมณ์ได้ดี ผลการวิจัยแสดงให้เห็นว่าการประยุกต์ใช้ละครเป็นฐานในการฝึกอบรมสามารถส่งเสริมการพัฒนาประสิทธิภาพการสื่อสารด้านการพูดในการบริหาร และการสร้างความสัมพันธ์เชิงบวกกับครูของผู้บริหารโรงเรียนเอกชนได้อย่างมีประสิทธิผล

This study investigates the social impact of non-utilitarian art collecting practices on the empowerment of Indonesian women artists. By examining the collection of Indonesian non-utilitarian collector Konfir Kabo and curating the exhibition Bodies in Balance, it analyzes how non-putilitarian art collecting can serve as a mechanism for feminist empowerment. The research argues that collection practices oriented toward non-commercial values offer effective means to address the structural imbalances faced by Indonesian women artists within both art history and the art market. The following study identified ways in which social issues were present in contemporary theatre and the subsequent productions designed for an audience ranging in identifying demographics through a collegiate production of Marian, or the True Tale of Robin Hood. On April 18, 1942, Americans woke up to the thrilling news that American airmen had bombed the enemy capital of Tokyo, Japan. Americans all across the country were made aware of the bombing of Japan by multiple media sources at the time including newspapers, propaganda posters, newsreels, and movies. The ways in which these media outlets portrayed the American bombing of Japan would directly impact the perception of American citizens regarding the event. The bombing, eventually termed the Doolittle Raid after the general who led the mission, James Doolittle, immediately became a source of American propaganda for the U.S. media.

Play is something that many children experience. However, we as a society do not give it nearly enough credit for just how much it can achieve. Through play, children can learn so much more and retain that information, while giving them the skills to transfer their knowledge to situations outside of the classroom. Play encourages creativity, problem-solving, and social interaction. By teaching kids through play, they are able to comphrend more at younger ages, and I have found that it can also help them express their emotions in ways that I was not able to at such young ages. This study describes the changes in the dramaturgy of sandiwara, a folk theater in West Sumatra. The research was carried out using a combined research method: literary studies and artistic methods, through a project of making play scripts and dramaturgical worksheets. Research data was collected through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and individual interviews. The results of the qualitative analysis show that writing a play script can build a play’s creative ethos in sandiwara, bring up the quality, and originality of the ideas and themes. This paper aims to present Khaen melodies (an Isan musical instrument) by analyzing the original notes and arranging them for piano, using Western music composition theory to adapt the notes to suit beginner-level piano players. Based on qualitative research and creative music research, the creative process emphasizes preserving the original accents and primary melodies of the Khaen. Additionally, it develops the musical structure and harmonies to align with contemporary Western classical music. This article presents an overview of Roman citizens registered in the small Attic deme of Besa. The epigraphic record indicates that three Roman emperors—Hadrian, Commodus and Severus Alexander—were enrolled as citizens in this deme, as was the influential eastern magnate G. Julius Antiochus Epiphanes Philopappos and several men who dominated Athenian politics during the High Imperial period. We argue that Hadrian's enrolment and repeated sojourns in Athens encouraged various individuals—including two of his successors—to join this deme, but why did the emperor himself choose Besa and not a larger, more important deme in the city's civic centre?
