The Impact Of External Audit Quality On Reducing Financial Distress Risk For Companies: The Mediating Role Of Liquidity Management, Ammar Abid Al-Kader Atta, Ghadah Tareq Abd Ulmajeed
Muthanna Journal of Administrative and Economics Sciences
The present study aims to examine the effect of external audit quality on the financial distress risk of non-financial listed companies in Iraq, especially the role of liquidity management as a mediator. The research uses panel regression analysis and the Sobel test based on panel data of 65 companies from 2014 to 2024 (715 firm-year observations). Altman's Z-Score is used to measure financial distress risk, the external audit quality is measured by a Big Four auditor dummy, and the liquidity management is measured by the current ratio. The results indicate that the quality of external audit has a significant positive …

Objective And Formal Introversion In Medieval Khurasan Ceramics: A Visual-Semiotic Study Of Selected Bamiyan Vessels, Ammar Abdl-Kadhim Mahdi
Journal of Language, Literature, and Arts
This study examines objective and formal introversion as an analytical framework for understanding the visual organization of 12th–13th-century CE (6th–7th centuries AH) glazed ceramics from Bamiyan within the broader cultural context of medieval Khurasan. While previous scholarship has extensively addressed the typological, technical, and decorative characteristics of Khurasanian ceramics, comparatively less attention has been given to the structural principles governing their internal visual organization. Using an art-historical and visual-semiotic approach, the study analyzes five purposively selected vessels from a documented corpus of 15 objects. The analysis examines morphological characteristics, compositional structure, center–periphery relationships, directional movement, boundaries, figuration, and negative space. …

The present research examines the impact of digital transformation on intellectual staffing among employees. It also seeks to determine the extent to which digital transformation affects job performance. To achieve the research objectives, a questionnaire was employed as one of the primary data collection instruments. The questionnaire consisted of three axes. The first axis …
Morality And Me: An Investigation Of A Moral Framework For College Students, Jillian Lee Meyer '23, Ted Bitner
Morality And Me: An Investigation Of A Moral Framework For College Students, Jillian Lee Meyer '23, Ted Bitner
Student Research
How do college students explain their choices when everyday situations raise moral questions? This study examined the reasoning of 136 U.S. undergraduates across ten dilemmas involving friendships, coursework, employment, and social life. Participants chose a course of action and briefly explained why. Their written explanations were coded using six moral dimensions developed by the Prindle Institute for Ethics: consequences, intentions and motivations, principles and rights, care and relationships, virtues, and fairness. Across dilemmas, students most often emphasized consequences, followed by intentions and motivations. Other dimensions became more prominent in particular contexts: legal questions drew attention to principles and rights, while …

The Importance Of A Gay Or Lesbian Community When Job Seeking – Psychological And Demographic Factors, Mark X. James, Zhimin Hu
The Importance Of A Gay Or Lesbian Community When Job Seeking – Psychological And Demographic Factors, Mark X. James, Zhimin Hu
Journal of Business, Industry, and Economics
In this study, sexual orientation disclosure, impression management, neuroticism, education, and age are statistically significant predictors of the importance of a gay and lesbian community when seeking a job in a new city. Internal locus of control was not a statistically significant predictor of the importance of a gay and lesbian community when seeking a job in a new city. This research potentially offers insights into other minority or stigmatized groups, suggesting that when those individuals are seeking jobs in a new city, a supportive community may be an important decision factor. From a human resource perspective, diversity and a …

The Examina: A Peer-Led Reflection Model For Purpose And Culture Change In Schools, Belle Liang, Timothy Klein, Elisa Liang, Terese Lund, Kendall Bronk
Journal of Practitioner Research
The Examina is a peer-led reflection model that helps educators strengthen purpose and belonging in their daily work. It offers brief, structured opportunities for colleagues to pause and reconnect with why their work matters. More than 400 educators across three public school districts participated in the four-session peer reflection program, with 147 completing baseline surveys that informed this practitioner inquiry. Peer facilitators adapted four Examina practices (i.e., Future Crafting, Intention Setting, Insight Gathering, and Story Crafting) to fit their school cultures. Nearly eight in ten participants reported deeper purpose reflection and three in four reported greater belonging in their professional …
The Role Of Emotions In Understanding Inquiry As Stance, Yun-Chen Yen, Rachel Wolkenhauer
The Role Of Emotions In Understanding Inquiry As Stance, Yun-Chen Yen, Rachel Wolkenhauer
Journal of Practitioner Research
This case study of a Taiwanese teacher candidate’s inquiry experience during her internship uses emotions as a lens for analyzing how she developed and refined her inquiry stance as a critical habit of mind. Using emotions as points of reflection and action, the teacher candidate came to see herself as a responsible and critical generator of knowledge, understood practice as a synthesis of reflection and action, and reframed the purpose of inquiry as elevating student voices and cultivating teacher curiosity. An inquiry community played a critical role in sustaining her engagement and commitment. This study suggests that teacher emotions can …

High School Teachers' Experiences Working With Latino Immigrant Students Who Have Experienced Trauma, Collette Marie Jiménez Serra
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
Latino immigrant students in U.S. public high schools are disproportionately exposed to trauma related to migration experiences, family separation, poverty, and acculturative stress, yet many teachers report feeling underprepared to address students’ trauma-related needs in culturally responsive ways. Limited research has examined high school teachers’ lived experiences implementing trauma-informed practices with Latino immigrant students, particularly from teachers’ own perspectives. The purpose of this transcendental phenomenological study was to explore high school teachers’ lived experiences implementing trauma-informed practices with Latino immigrant students, including their perceptions of preparedness and the factors influencing implementation. Guided by principles of trauma-informed care (TIC) and relational-cultural …

Examining The Challenges Of Providing Mental Health Treatment In Female Correctional Facilities From The Perspective Of Mental Health Professionals, Lacretia Williams
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
Women in correctional settings frequently experience significant mental health issues that are linked to histories of trauma, abuse, and victimization. Despite increased attention to trauma-informed and gender-responsive approaches, numerous obstacles continue to affect the delivery of mental health treatment within female correctional facilities. Existing literature focuses on systemic and policy concerns, overlooking mental health professionals' experiences. Guided by general systems theory, this qualitative study examined the challenges encountered by providers, including how organizational, environmental, and institutional factors influence treatment implementation. Data collected through semistructured interviews with 10 mental health professionals revealed multiple barriers to effective service delivery, including the complex …
