The psychological climate is one of the important psychological aspects that must be taken into consideration and paid attention to by specialists in the field of education. Whether the climate is negative or positive, it will be reflected in the student’s behavioral attitudes when dealing, whether with his peers or with the teacher, during or outside the educational situation. Motivation is the activity or Effectiveness and energy. The importance of the current study becomes clear through the researchers’ endeavor to identify the importance of the psychological climate of university students and its impact on the academic self-motivation of female students …

The Effect Of The Mastery Learning Strategy On The Mental Toughness And Skill Performance Of Receiving The Serve In Volleyball For Students, Nahida Abid Zaid, Firas Suhail Ibrahim, Azhar Hussein Ulaiwi
Modern Sport
The problem of the research is that, although the time available is sufficient to learn volleyball skills, it is not sufficient to achieve the degree of mastery of these skills, especially the skill of receiving the serve. The reason for this may be due to the educational strategies, methods and approaches used in the educational process, as well as the lack of interest in the aspects of learning. This skill, especially the psychological aspect and the appropriate psychological abilities, especially mental toughness, which means that the student reaches the maximum possible performance or performance that exceeds his capabilities, so the …

Encoding Colour: Capturing Rule-Based Logic In Design Studio, Zafira Rahmatul Ummah, Paramita Atmodiwirjo
ARSNET
This paper argues that introducing algorithmic thinking to basic design pedagogy should give prominence to the basic logic and attitudes rather than learning the computational devices and tools. This paper examines the integration of computation or algorithmic thinking into a basic design studio in architectural education at Universitas Indonesia. The integration is conducted through a colour composing exercise that comprises four major stages: identifying patterns, rulemaking, colouring-composing, and reflection. The findings from this study demonstrate how the students are utilising algorithmic thinking as the primary reason to design their colour composition in different ways and complexity. Furthermore, the students can …
Visualising Daylight For Designing Optimum Openings In Tropical Context, Dany Perwita Sari
Visualising Daylight For Designing Optimum Openings In Tropical Context, Dany Perwita Sari
ARSNET
With the rising concern for global warming, reducing electricity consumption and promoting daylight utilisation for healthier living conditions are among residential buildings' top priorities. The utilisation of natural light for indoor lighting, particularly in tropical countries like Indonesia, provides health benefits and improves psychological well-being. However, the current condition shows that artificial lighting still accounts for the majority of energy consumption in residential buildings and, arguably, the failure to maximise daylighting was largely due to a limited understanding of the design of openings. This paper aims to exemplify how virtualisation can assist designers through simulation tools to better predict and …
Trilogies: Lessons From 50 Years Facilitating Community-Based Health Assessments And Planning In Appalachia, Bruce Behringer
Trilogies: Lessons From 50 Years Facilitating Community-Based Health Assessments And Planning In Appalachia, Bruce Behringer
Journal of Appalachian Health
Involvement of community and organizational groups is fundamental to most public ventures. Most social, health, economic, and educational improvements in Appalachia have been characterized by successfully integrating community input and finding ways to encourage organizational change and collaboration.
Managing group process and related facilitation skills are fundamental competencies for public health professionals and others guiding change efforts. Groups from communities and organizations can get stalled in their deliberations; a facilitator frequently must think quickly to diagnose the situation and propose alternative approaches. Creative and flexible approaches, learned through practice experiences, can blend with theories and frameworks learned in academic preparation …

Addressing Climate Change Anomie In Teacher Education, Teresa Anne Fowler
Northwest Journal of Teacher Education
This research project sought to understand how preservice teachers explore their relationship with Science and confidence in teaching about climate change in Science education amid a culture of denial regarding the impact of the climate crisis. Using data from three cohorts of students in an elementary Science methods course, this paper shares the context of climate change acceptance in the province of Alberta, Canada, the fossil fuel economic hub of Canada, and how using Journell’s framework for controversial issues alongside a critical energy literacy framework using inquiry, supported preservice teachers to address their hesitancy in Science classrooms to engage with …

Current Update Of Clinical Therapeutic Strategies For Colon-Targeted Delivery Systems, Risa Widiani Batubara, Fadlina Chany Saputri, Raditya Iswandana
Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research
Oral colon-targeted drug delivery systems represent a significant advancement offering both systemic and local therapeutic effects for a range of intestinal diseases, including irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, colonic bacterial infections, and colorectal cancer. These systems facilitate the delivery of both small molecules and macromolecular compounds such as peptides, proteins, antibodies, oligonucleotides, RNA, and probiotics. This review provides an up-to-date exploration of the critical factors crucial for the effective design and development of drug delivery systems targeting the colon. The chosen strategy takes into account various aspects of colon physiology that influences the profile of drug release, absorption, dissolution, …

Evaluating Behavioral Skills Training To Improve Data Collection Procedures In Paraprofessionals, Megan Weber
Evaluating Behavioral Skills Training To Improve Data Collection Procedures In Paraprofessionals, Megan Weber
Theses
When working with individuals with a variety of abilities and disabilities, data collection becomes arguably the most important tool in ensuring student success and growth. To put trust in collected data, both data reliability and treatment integrity must be considered. When one individual is taking all data required for a specific individual, reliability and integrity can be simpler to ensure (Vollmer et al., 2008). However, in many special education classrooms across the country, paraprofessionals are asked to perform many of the same data collection tasks as certified educators; a role which, as in many of the roles they serve within …

Sonic Space: A Music Visualization And Interaction System Using Particles, Yi Sun
Theses
Along with the rapid development of digital music formats and portable technical products, individuals can rely on technology to have access to new music besides traditional methods like recommendations from the social circle. While music apps provide users with a more convenient and efficient way to enjoy music through a music recommendation system, users are also limited by the music recommendation algorithm based on genres, artists, instruments, acoustic features, context, or moods. People who wear headphones often isolate themselves from the external world and others, passively absorbing content recommended by the system. Music, as an art form, serves more than …

Can Listeners Differentiate Varieties Using Prosodic Information? Lect Identification In A Persona-Matching Task, Nicole Holliday, Rachel Steindel Burdin, Paul Reed

Sociolinguists and lay people have long been interested in the mechanisms by which dialect and speaker identification occur. The current study aims to test whether realizational differences found in production studies are salient factors in identification of different lects, as well as to examine differences between groups in identification. In this study, listeners were instructed to match clips containing H* and L+H* pitch accents with specific personae who represented speakers of five lects of interest (African American English, Jewish English, Appalachian English, Southern English, and Midwestern English). Listeners from different groups (Appalachian, African American, Jewish, and those who were not …

The tenant failed to comply with lease terms by operating an unauthorized business on the premises, constituting a breach of lease. The landlord successfully sought eviction through a pre-answer motion, resulting in a judgment in favor of the landlord, highlighting the significance of lease compliance in landlord-tenant disputes.
