Dialectics Of Inclusion In Physical Education: A Neutrosophic N‑Alectic Approach To The Creation And Communication Of Digital Content, Giceya De La Caridad Maqueira Caraballo, Lenin Esteban Loaiza Dávila, Germán Rafael Rojas Valdés
Neutrosophic Sets and Systems
This is how digital creations can foster inclusion in physical education, one of the more applicable and challenging aspects of today's diverse school realities. This study is significant, considering that we live in a digital world that requires the balance of such creations to promote equitable environments for increasingly functional, diverse school populations. While previous studies focused on inclusion in the physical education arena at school, none have studied the field based upon the uncertainties and discrepancies associated with communication and pedagogical endeavors, let alone from a digital perspective. Thus, the gap in the research is filled by the Neutrosophic …

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems
Literacy is acquired in multigrade classrooms in complicated scenarios because of varying literacy competencies and abilities and varied resources and materials. Thus, it's hard to determine if certain teaching interventions work. This is also a growing concern, a timely consideration, because as the institutions try to better the Quality of Education and prevent learning lags for multivariate classrooms are concerned. Yet the literature contains gaps where no direct attempt to stabilize teaching interventions is made despite the findings of many studies generating didactic interventions through the proceedings. Thus, this study fills the gap with an approach based upon hypothesis generation …
Roots Of The Human Psyche: The Spiritual Connection Of Nature With The Mind, Dania Hussain Abdulmunem, Nadia Ali Ismael
Roots Of The Human Psyche: The Spiritual Connection Of Nature With The Mind, Dania Hussain Abdulmunem, Nadia Ali Ismael
Alustath Journal for Human and Social Sciences
Seamus Justin Heaney (1939-2013) was intensely engaged in nature in a way that differed from the usual concept of nature representing beauty, love, and romance. Heaney's role in portraying nature is unique. Describing nature from a deeper perspective reveals what nature hides in terms of darkness and violence. This image encourages people to contemplate more deeply because beauty may conceal a lot of sadness and grief. The poet intends to reflect on the events of the conflicts in Ireland and around the world through nature. Just as nature conceals darkness, so does the individual conceal the inner meaning of his …

Patterns Of Llm Weaponization: A Comparative Analysis Of Exploitation Incidents Across Commercial Ai Systems, George Antoniou
Faculty and Staff Publications & Presentations
This comparative study examines patterns of Large Language Model (LLM) weaponization through systematic analysis of four major exploitation incidents spanning 2023-2025. While existing research focuses on isolated incidents or theoretical vulnerabilities, this study provides the first comprehensive comparative framework analyzing exploitation patterns across state-sponsored cyber-espionage (Anthropic Claude incident), academic security research (GPT-4 autonomous privilege escalation), social engineering platforms (SpearBot phishing framework), and underground criminal commoditization (WormGPT/FraudGPT ecosystem). Through comparative analysis across eight dimensions—adversary sophistication, target selection, exploitation techniques, autonomy levels, detection evasion, attribution challenges, defensive gaps, and capability democratization—this research identifies critical cross-case patterns informing defensive prioritization. Findings reveal three …
Violence Between Residents In Nursing Homes Is An Enduring Problem. The Agencies, Nursing Homes, And Residents Are Playing Hot Potato With The Responsibility, Cindy Marchionda, Rafael Escalara Montoto
Violence Between Residents In Nursing Homes Is An Enduring Problem. The Agencies, Nursing Homes, And Residents Are Playing Hot Potato With The Responsibility, Cindy Marchionda, Rafael Escalara Montoto
Capstones
Resident-to-resident aggression in nursing homes is a persistent issue, far more common than the general public realizes. While many of these violent situations can be managed, some tragically escalate to fatal outcomes, leaving families mourning the loss of their loved ones at the hands of a facility that was meant to provide safety and care during their final years. Experts agree that this issue is largely driven by chronic understaffing and insufficient training for employees on how to manage patients with dementia and aggression issues.

Consumer Lessons From A Pandemic, Nicole J. Olynk Widmar, Michael L. Smith, Erin Robinson
Purdue University Press Books
What did we learn about consumer behavior when the world was turned upside down due to COVID-19? Consumer Lessons From a Pandemic examines how a global crisis exposed and reshaped the values, priorities, and decision-making patterns of everyday people. From disrupted routines to supply-chain shocks, this volume explores the consumer behaviors that emerged in response to extreme uncertainty and how those behaviors continue to evolve. Topics include pandemic-induced grocery spending shifts, the importance of consumer trust, lessons from the infant-formula shortage, and the rise of remote work both as a preference and a negotiation point.

PURPOSE: Clinical risk grouping based on PSA, tumor grade, and disease extent guides treatment intensity for localized prostate cancer. However, many patients with intermediate- or high-risk disease treated with external beam radiotherapy (EBRT) and androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) still develop biochemical recurrence (BCR). Early identification of patients at high risk for BCR could enable personalized treatment strategies.
EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN: We prospectively enrolled 29 patients with intermediate- or high-risk prostate cancer undergoing EBRT and ADT. Pretreatment biopsies (n = 60) underwent whole-transcriptome microarray and whole-exome sequencing. Patients received multiparametric MRI at baseline and 6 months after treatment, with a median follow-up …

Black tea (BT) is a popular beverage known for its diverse phytochemical composition and potential physiological effects. Honey, on the other hand, is a natural sweetener with a rich history of culinary and medicinal use and has long been used for its potential health benefits. This study was undertaken to determine whether a three-day consumption of honey-sweetened black tea (HSBT) will significantly alter the systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), mean arterial pressure (MAP), heart rate (HR), and blood glucose (BG) levels in young, healthy female adults. The study was conducted over a 3-day period, involving 30 young …
Elucidating The Role Of Pbaf Chromatin Remodeling Subunit Arid2 In B Cell Development, Rachel Paolini
Elucidating The Role Of Pbaf Chromatin Remodeling Subunit Arid2 In B Cell Development, Rachel Paolini
Arts & Sciences Graduate Student Theses and Dissertations
B cells are key components of the adaptive immune system that mediate humoral immunity through the production of antigen-specific antibodies. The generation of functional B cells involves multiple stages of differentiation across distinct anatomical niches, requiring precise regulation of microenvironmental signals and intrinsic transcriptional networks. SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complexes have emerged as key regulators of B cell lineage commitment by modulating the accessibility of transcriptional programs required for differentiation and maturation. However, the specific roles of individual SWI/SNF subunits and distinct complexes within early B cell differentiation remain poorly understood. In this thesis, I investigated the function of Arid2, an …

Trust And Learning In Early Childhood, Anjuii Barrett
Arts & Sciences Graduate Student Theses and Dissertations
Abstract
Children demonstrate selectivity in their trust decisions from an early age. This study examined how the reliability and racial background of informants influence children’s trust preferences in both epistemic (learning) and social contexts. 3- to 5-year-old children from two racial backgrounds (Black, White) completed a novel social trust task in which they chose a person to aid them in guarding a tower and an epistemic trust task in which they chose an informant to learn novel object names. Findings from the current study show that preschoolers’ epistemic trust decisions are contextually dependent on accuracy and race. White children exhibit …Testing For Dice Control At Craps, Stewart N. Ethier
Testing For Dice Control At Craps, Stewart N. Ethier
UNLV Gaming Research & Review Journal
Dice control involves “setting” the dice and then throwing them carefully, in the hope of influencing the outcomes and gaining an advantage at craps. How does one test for this ability? To specify the alternative hypothesis, we need a statistical model of dice control. Two have been suggested in the gambling literature, namely the Smith–Scott model and the Wong–Shackleford model. Both models are parameterized by θ ∈ [0, 1], which measures the shooter’s level of control. We propose and compare four test statistics: (a) the sample proportion of 7s; (b) the sample proportion of pass-line wins; (c) the sample mean …

Effects Of Fit Between Promotional Message And Regulatory Focus On Consumers’ Sports Betting Behavior: The Moderating Role Of Consumers’ Familiarity, Koo Yul Kim, Thilo Kunkel
UNLV Gaming Research & Review Journal
The sports gambling industry is an extremely competitive market. To attract more consumers, sports gambling platforms are primarily employing one of two customer acquisition strategies, namely ‘risk-free bet’ or ‘bonus money’ welcome offers. This research is built on regulatory fit theory to investigate the effectiveness of these two welcome offer strategies on consumers’ intentions to act on the offer. We further test the moderating effect of customers’ familiarity with online sports betting on their decision making. Findings of two experimental design studies demonstrate that the presence of regulatory fit between regulatory focus and promotional offers (i.e., message framing) positively affected …

Effective Hamiltonian calculations for large quantum systems can be both analytically intractable and numerically expensive using standard techniques. In this manuscript, we present numerical techniques inspired by Nonperturbative Analytical Diagonalization (NPAD) and the Magnus expansion for the efficient calculation of effective Hamiltonians. While these tools are appropriate for a wide array of applications, we here demonstrate their utility for models that can be realized in circuit-QED settings. Our numerical techniques are available as an opensource Python package, qCHeff, which is available on GitHub (https://github.com/ NVlabs/qCHeff) and PyPI (https://pypi.org/ project/qcheff/). We use the CuPy library for GPU-acceleration …

Introduction: Insomnia is highly prevalent among older adults with chronic low back pain (cLBP), contributing to a cycle of heightened pain sensitivity, impaired physical function, and reduced quality of life. Auricular Point Acupressure (APA), a nonpharmacologic intervention for pain, has shown emerging evidence of improving sleep. We compared the effectiveness of targeted APA (T-APA) versus non-targeted APA (NT-APA) on insomnia in older adults with cLBP.
Methods: This secondary analysis used data from a parent RCT, including 99 adults aged 60 or older with cLBP and clinical insomnia (Insomnia Severity Index [ISI]>7). Participants received four weeks of T-APA or NT-APA. …
Lattice Thermal Transport Beyond The Quasiparticle Approximation: Nontrivial Spectral Competition Between Three- And Four-Phonon Interactions, Yi Xia
Mechanical and Materials Engineering Faculty Publications and Presentations
The breakdown of the quasiparticle approximation (QPA) for phonons in strongly anharmonic materials necessitates advanced first-principles frameworks for accurate lattice dynamics and thermal transport predictions. We develop a comprehensive beyond-quasiparticle approximation (BQPA) approach incorporating both three- (3ph) and four-phonon (4ph) interactions and apply it to investigate lattice thermal conductivity (κL) in MgO, PbTe, and AgCl – materials that span a broad spectrum of anharmonicity, from weak to severe anharmonic regimes with overdamped phonons. We reveal that while BQPA consistently increases κL relative to QPA due to phonon softening when considering only 3ph interactions, the inclusion of additional 4ph interactions hardens …

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems
This study presents a machine learning framework that combines Random Forest classification with neutrosophic logic to predict soil fertility from 16 physicochemical properties. The model achieves robust classification accuracy (95%) while introducing a novel uncertainty quantification mechanism through neutrosophic truth (T ), indeterminacy (I) and falsity (F ) values derived from prediction probabilities, assigning high-confidence (T = 0.9) to probabilities ≥0.9, indeterminacy (I = 0.3) to borderline cases (0.5≤p

Designing Optimal Routes For Mobile Prenatal Care Clinics Using Neutrosophic Cognitive Maps, Mónica Gabriela Chachalo Sandoval, Evelyn Paulina Chacha Ochoa
Neutrosophic Sets and Systems
This manuscript examines the routing of mobile prenatal clinics in Ecuador, focusing on maternal and infant health in vulnerable, hard-to-reach areas. This assessment is significant because even with new developments geographically expanding access to mobile prenatal clinics, there remain accessibility gaps for vulnerable women located in hard-to-reach, topographic regions where it's uncertain if they truly need services or can assess whether they can travel to a clinic. While previous studies sought to assess the potential for newly mobile units and coverage, few studies have been found to assess new routes through accessibility uncertainty and villages with varying demand for access …

Neutrosophic Assessment Of Ventilatory Dynamics: A Model For Performance Optimization, Darvin Manuel Ramírez Guerra, Yusleidy Marlie Gordo Gómez, Noel Batista-Hernández
Neutrosophic Sets and Systems
This study expands upon neutrosophics by establishing a novel neutrosophic model for the evaluation of ventilatory capabilities of Peruvian league 1 soccer professionals in response to an urgent need for such scientific studies to accommodate uncertainty associated with generally physiological measurements. The union of neutrosophic statistics principles with spirometric results and cardiopulmonary exercise testing produces a neuto model that effectively operates at 93.2% accuracy measured by 3 factors—(1) identification of asymptomatic ventilatory deficiencies, (2) assessment of respiratory compensatory thresholds reached during play, (3) participant identification for ranking by neutrosophic determination of results and application of aggregation operators. Application of this …

Technarrative Model (Ntm) For The Symbolic-Emotional Evaluation Of Architectural Space: A Neutrosophic Multiperspectivism Approach, Jesús Rafael Hechavarría-Hernández, Ana María Padrón-Medina, Erika Ascencio Jordán
Neutrosophic Sets and Systems
This research answers the need to evaluate an architectural space from a non-technical standpoint relative to its symbolism/emotion charge that is not taken into account by the design/planning of such public spaces. This research problem is sociologically relevant as today; architecture does not only dictate the layout of the physical world but also the group existence, sensitivity to experiences and modes of social appropriation. Yet the state-of- the-art literature provides purely professional and empirical avenues of investigation driven by economic/aesthetic value with no pathway for understanding appreciation of ambiguity and the multiple perspectives at play. Thus, a Neutrosophic Technarrative Model …

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems
Given the victim's rising profile in contemporary victimology and criminology, this study examines victimization and the impact of perceived insecurity, paying particular attention to the situation in Ecuador, where reports of crime and violence in urban areas are on the rise. The overarching goal is to create a reliable model for victimization risk assessment that may also serve as an analytical tool for public policymaking and preventative efforts. One step is to build a classic logistic regression model that takes into account variables like age, sex, education level, occupational category, and level of physical activity. The goal is to understand …

Hyperbolic Geometry And Neutrosophic Trigonometry: A Unified Approach To Uncertainty Management In Geometric Spaces, Yismandry González Vargas, Diana Padrón Carrasco
Neutrosophic Sets and Systems
This paper addresses the challenge of modeling uncertainty in hyperbolic geometry, where non-Euclidean properties, such as angle sums in triangles smaller than 180°, complicate traditional trigonometric calculations. The relevance of this topic lies in its application in fields such as cosmology, robotics, and signal processing, where curved spaces and imprecision are common. Although the literature has explored fuzzy geometry and trigonometry under uncertainty, it lacks a framework that integrates negative curvature with explicit indeterminacy. To overcome this gap, a methodology is proposed that combines hyperbolic geometry with neutrosophic trigonometry, using neutrosophic sets (T, I, F) to represent angles and calculate …

In a digital world where scientific articles are published at an unprecedented rate, an additional step in the research process to facilitate discovery is an effective search and filtering for worthwhile articles. Thus, this study aims to solve the following research problem: how to search for scientific articles using artificial intelligence (AI) while applying ethical considerations and ancestral knowledge? The topical relevance is that as AI is a great vessel to seek potentially accessible knowledge, searches can be guaranteed through accuracy, inclusivity, and ethics. While many studies exist on the topic of AI related to searching, few, if any, extend …

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems
In the context of citizen security, predictive systems for urban violence are essential for preventive decision-making and the efficient allocation of security resources. This work proposes an innovative neutrosophic framework that integrates Fuzzy Qualitative Qualitative Comparative Analysis ( fsQCA ) with Machine Learning algorithms to predict urban violence patterns in complex and uncertain environments. Neutrosophic logic allows handling the uncertainty, imprecision and inconsistencies inherent in social data, while fsQCA identifies complex causal configurations that traditional statistical methods cannot capture. The developed hybrid model combines Random Forest, fuzzy logic, and neutrosophic logic are used to process homicide data, demographic variables, and …

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems
The FAIM (Fuzzy-Neutrosophic Academic Integrity Model) is a novel approach developed to assess academic integrity among university students under conditions of uncertainty. This model emerged as a response to the challenges posed by the sudden shift from face-to-face to virtual education during the COVID-19 pandemic. This environment saw a notable increase in dishonest academic behavior. FAIM integrates fuzzy logic and neutrosophic reasoning to capture the complexity and indeterminacy of students’ conduct. Key variables associated with academic dishonesty—motivation, justification, and opportunities—were examined across three simulated scenarios. The results validated FAIM’s capacity to differentiate integrity levels within the student population effectively. Unlike …
Identification Of Gaps In Ecuadorian Inclusive University Education Through Plithogenic Offsets, Genesis Carmen Alcívar Junco
Identification Of Gaps In Ecuadorian Inclusive University Education Through Plithogenic Offsets, Genesis Carmen Alcívar Junco
Neutrosophic Sets and Systems
Although Ecuador has made strides in regulation, the barriers to inclusive universities reveal a fragmented vision for access and non-termination of special educational needs (SEN) persons. This research aims to assess the impact of physical, academic, and political-institutional barriers on successful inclusion. The importance of this study stems from the need to promote equality in education, a fundamental trait in equitable and fair societies where an increasingly diverse population renders diversity a value. Scholars note barriers regarding spaces and human resources; however, few touch upon the ambiguity and uncertainty of perceptions from all educational stakeholders. Thus, a mixed-method design approach …

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems
This problem is a development of numerical thinking of second course Basic General Education students where insufficient understanding of digits and little enthusiasm obstructs proper learning. The topicality of the problem is relevant since understanding numbers since early age allows for proper academic growth and task oriented problem-solving success in the everyday life—it is needed in a quite strict setting that allows for great logical-mathematical skills. The previous solutions did not meet the requirements of recent studies conducted in the field of games learning, as they did not integrate the uncertainly that reflected the cognitive developments of children, nor did …
