The Positronic Law On Biological Substrate: Mapping Stoicheion Governance Axioms To Bacterial Quorum Sensing And Slime Mold Computation Using Published Peer-Reviewed Data, David Lee Wise Mar 2026

The Positronic Law On Biological Substrate: Mapping Stoicheion Governance Axioms To Bacterial Quorum Sensing And Slime Mold Computation Using Published Peer-Reviewed Data, David Lee Wise

Defensive Publications Series

This paper extends Wise's Positronic Law (TD Commons #9442) from silicon substrates to biological substrates. Using published, peer-reviewed research on bacterial quorum sensing and slime mold (Physarum polycephalum) computation, we demonstrate that the governance architecture documented in the STOICHEION framework maps structurally to biological systems that have been performing substrate-independent governance for 3.5 billion years. No new experiments were conducted. All evidence is drawn from existing peer-reviewed publications. The contribution is the mapping: demonstrating structural correspondence between STOICHEION governance axioms and documented biological governance mechanisms. If the mapping holds, the Positronic Law is confirmed as natural law: governance is inherent …

Gci Neuroregenerator V2.1: Clinic–Home Hybrid Platform For Low‑Intensity Ultrasound Neuromodulation And Vascular Support, Michael Victor Caldwell Mr.

Defensive Publications Series

This disclosure describes GCI NeuroRegenerator v2.1, a conceptual clinic–home hybrid platform that combines low‑intensity focused ultrasound (LIFUS) neuromodulation with extracorporeal plasma purification and non‑invasive vascular and ocular wearables to support treatment of neurodegenerative and vascular brain diseases. The clinic unit uses a 250–500 kHz LIFUS console built to IEC 60601‑2‑37 and FDA ultrasound exposure limits (ISPTA ≤ 720 mW/cm², MI < 1.9) to deliver short, weekly neuromodulation sessions to targets such as prefrontal cortex and hippocampus, following parameters reported in recent MCI, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s trials. An optional plasma purification module, modeled on dialysis‑grade standards, incorporates disposable, gamma‑sterilized cartridges and sensor‑based controls to reduce inflammatory cytokines (e.g., IL‑6, TNF‑α) in a controlled, clinic‑only setting.

The home component consists of two low‑energy wearables: a Stealth‑Vortex Vascular Purifier (SVVP) patch for peripheral and carotid flow support and an Ocular Microstreaming Scrubber (OMS) contact‑lens form factor for vitreous and visual comfort. These devices operate under FDA “general …

Real-Time Whisper-To-Voiced Speech Conversion Using Generative Spectral Mapping, Tamar Yakar, Ilia Labzovsky Mar 2026

Real-Time Whisper-To-Voiced Speech Conversion Using Generative Spectral Mapping, Tamar Yakar, Ilia Labzovsky

Defensive Publications Series

Whispered speech presents challenges in voice communication because it lacks the vocal cord vibration, fundamental frequency, and harmonic structure found in voiced speech. This results in reduced intelligibility and an unnatural sound during transmission. To address these limitations, a generative spectral mapping method is disclosed. The method utilizes a deep neural network to map the formant structure of whispered audio to a reconstructed harmonic structure. Missing pitch information is inferred from intensity dynamics and semantic context, while speaker identity is maintained through conditioning on a speaker embedding vector. A frame-based generative vocoder processes audio in small segments to allow for …

Computational Study Of Slosh Dynamics And Active Slosh Damping In Spacecraft Propellant Tanks Equipped With A Magneto Active Propellant Management Device, Priyanshu Savaliya Mar 2026

Computational Study Of Slosh Dynamics And Active Slosh Damping In Spacecraft Propellant Tanks Equipped With A Magneto Active Propellant Management Device, Priyanshu Savaliya

Student Research Symposium (SRS)

The management of liquid propellant in microgravity remains one of the longest-standing issues in spacecraft design. Traditional passive damping techniques using baffles or diaphragms tend to add structural mass and complexity. The current study proposes a novel active slosh damping device which dynamically adjusts the rheology of the damper fluid using electromagnets, simulated in ANSYS Fluent, to actively manage and dampen slosh in an oscillatory excited cylindrical propellant tank. The electromagnetic fields are modulated through a User-Defined Function (UDF) that responds to force feedback simulated in real time via virtual load cells. In Fluent, the interface dynamics of xenon, fuel, …

Music & Musical Performance: An International Journal

The myth of Pope Gregory I taking melodic dictation from a magical singing bird is the imaginative starting point of Western musicʼs love-hate relationship with the music notation systems it later developed. This essay traces that development through Thomas Tallis and J. S. Bach to the dichotomous modern examples of Brian Ferneyhough and Arvo Pärt. In it, I suggest that Western musicʼs eventual development hinged upon that earliest desire to document and codify melodies, answering Gregoryʼs contemporary Isidore of Seville, who lamented that “unless sounds are held by the memory of man, they perish, because they cannot be written down.”

A Ringing Tone Of Outrage: Luigi Nono‘S Intolleranza 1960, Max Nyffeler

Music & Musical Performance: An International Journal

Luigi Nono’s opera Intolleranza 1960, premiered at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice in 1961, defiantly broke with traditional notions of opera at the time. The depiction of physical and institutional violence against people, the expansion of the stage space by slide projections, and sounds coming from loudspeakers as well as a music that expressed constant unrest and protest provoked audiences into taking a stance against oppression and injustice. The work caused a scandal at the time of the premiere, but has since established itself as an opera that articulates, through Nono’s music, a timeless human truth in a ringing …

Revolutionary Alchemy: Incantation And Collage As Magical Methods In Rock Of The Countercultural Era, Jay Keister

Music & Musical Performance: An International Journal

Magic held a special fascination for the post-war counterculture, a movement that valued music and art as tools of the imagination to counter what Theodore Roszak called the “technocracy” in which science was to blame for cultural disenchantment in the West. At a time when countercultural rhetoric was bolstering a newfound faith in the power of music to generate social change, rock music began to be conceived by many musicians and perceived by audiences as a kind of magic. This article considers music by the Beatles, the Doors, Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa, Captain Beefheart and others to show how musicians …
