Integrated Zero-Heat Neural Interface (Izhni): Trl-4 Multiphysics Thermal–Fluidic–Mechanical Architecture For Low-Power Neural Interface Heat Management, Michael Victor Caldwell Mr.
Defensive Publications Series
The Integrated Zero-Heat Neural Interface (IZHNI) is a conceptual TRL-4 engineering architecture defining a coupled thermal–fluidic–mechanical system designed to manage localized electronic heat loads (~250 mW) in extreme spatial constraint environments relevant to neural interface technologies.
This disclosure does not describe a medical device or implantable system, but rather a simulation-ready and benchtop-testable thermal management framework intended for independent validation in non-biological environments.
The system integrates three coupled subsystems: (1) anisotropic thermal biasing layers that preferentially direct heat flow, (2) parallel microfluidic heat extraction channels operating in a low-Reynolds chaotic advection regime, and (3) a mechanically compliant substrate designed to …
Vortex-Inertial Magnetic Blood-Plasma Purifier, Michael Victor Caldwell Mr.
Vortex-Inertial Magnetic Blood-Plasma Purifier, Michael Victor Caldwell Mr.
Defensive Publications Series
This Vortex-Inertial Magnetic Blood-Plasma Purifier disclosure describes a continuous-flow, non-clogging system for the selective enrichment and extraction of biomarkers from blood plasma. The device integrates inertial microfluidic separation, magnetophoretic transport, and an open-cell gyroid lattice trapping mechanism into a unified architecture. Whole blood is first processed through a spiral microfluidic manifold operating in the Dean-flow regime to achieve passive separation of cellular components, producing a plasma stream with reduced hematocrit. Target biomarkers are captured using aptamer-functionalized superparamagnetic nanoparticles and transported via magnetophoretic drift within a controlled magnetic field gradient. These particles are subsequently immobilized within a high-surface-area gyroid lattice incorporating …

Gci‑V3.1: Multimodal Acoustofluidic Platform For Deformability‑Based Particle Sorting And Focused Mechanical Neutralization, Michael Victor Caldwell Mr.
Defensive Publications Series
GCI‑v3.1 introduces a modular, multimodal acoustofluidic platform designed to investigate how rigid and elastic micro‑ and nano‑scale structures respond to controlled mechanical forces. The system integrates four independently testable physics modules—(1) inertial–Dean flow deformability sorting, (2) surface‑acoustic‑wave (SAW) boundary‑layer conditioning, (3) cavitation‑driven differential damage probability, and (4) adaptive harmonic energy localization—into a unified materials‑interaction research scaffold. Each module is validated through simulation‑ready parameters, dimensionless transport metrics, and fabrication‑ready microfluidic and acoustic hardware specifications.
The platform exploits measurable contrasts in Young’s modulus, acoustic impedance, inertial lift, and phonon‑coupling behavior to mechanically differentiate rigid particles from elastic ones without …
Universal Co-Packaged Copper Interconnect Footprint, N/A
Universal Co-Packaged Copper Interconnect Footprint, N/A
Defensive Publications Series
A universal footprint for co-packaged copper interconnects facilitates compatibility across diverse mating interfaces on a single substrate design. By utilizing a common physical footprint, various interconnect products can interface with the same substrate without committing to a single proprietary design. This approach allows system integrators to scale hardware deployments while maintaining flexibility in sourcing interconnect components.
Keywords: Co-packaged copper, interconnect, universal footprint, substrate design, mating interface, elastomeric interposer, compliant tail, micro-LGA socket.
Local Replication With Internet Group Management Protocol Snooping, N/A, N/A
Local Replication With Internet Group Management Protocol Snooping, N/A, N/A
Defensive Publications Series
The present disclosure is directed to multicast scalability in cloud networking environments by shifting packet replication from a central gateway to individual physical hosts. In high-density hosting scenarios where multiple virtual machine (VM) endpoints reside on a single machine, conventional gateway replication saturates shared, single-threaded reorder processors, leading to performance degradation and packet drops. An approach may implement an internet group management protocol (IGMP) snooping agent on each host to intercept join and leave messages, enabling the maintenance of a per-group mapping of local subscribers. This allows the multicast gateway to transmit only a single copy of a packet to …

Signaling Router Maintenance To Bgp Peers Using A Novel Bgp Message, N/A, N/A
Defensive Publications Series
The present disclosure is directed to signaling a planned maintenance event between peering network devices, utilizing a specialized routing protocol message. A first network device may generate a maintenance notification message that includes a unique message-type code, a maintenance-type field, and an anticipated-duration field. The maintenance type field may specify a category of maintenance, such as a “Software upgrade” or a “User-initiated”, while the duration field may indicate an estimated time for session re-establishment. This message may also include a textual description field for additional context like reboot for maintenance type field “User-initiated”. The first network device may transmit the …
The Picture Exchange Communication System (Pecs) As A Functional Form Of Low-Technology Aided Augmentative And Alternative Communication (Aac): A Systematic Review, Faith K. Curran
Pacific Journal of Health
This systematic literature review was completed with the aim of investigating the functionality of the low-technology aided Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). In this review, functionality was defined by how successful AAC users used PECS. Fifteen peer reviewed primary sources which were published between 2020 and 2025 were selected to provide a current and relevant analysis. There was not enough current research to support the use of PECS across various functions of language. However, PECS is mainly used for one to two language functions, object requesting and commenting. Further research studying the success rates of …
