Salivary Matrix Metalloproteinase-7, Human Beta-Defensin 1, And Mucin-4 As Potential Diagnostic Biomarkers In Periodontal Disease: A Review, Haider Mohammed Shaloom, Omar Husham Ali
Maaen Journal for Medical Sciences
Periodontal diseases are a group of chronic, immune-mediated inflammatory conditions affecting the periodontium, the supportive structures of the teeth. With severe forms affecting nearly 20% of the worldwide adult population, these diseases represent a significant global health challenge. Their impact extends beyond the oral cavity, as periodontitis is a recognized risk factor for systemic conditions like cardiovascular disease and diabetes mellitus. Characterized by the progressive destruction of tooth-supporting tissues, early diagnosis is crucial to prevent tooth loss. However, conventional diagnostic methods primarily quantify historical tissue damage rather than indicating current disease activity or predicting future progression. To overcome these limitations, …

Proposals For Reforming The International Monetary System From The Islamic Economy Perspective, Wejdan Al-Soudy
Jordan Journal of Applied Science-Humanities Series
This research aims to examine various monetary systems proposed by economists in the literature and evaluate proposals within the Islamic economy for reforming the monetary system. The study concludes that money has increasingly become an end in itself rather than a tool for exchange or a standard for measuring value, leading to disruptions in both local and international monetary systems. Additionally, the dominance of the U.S. dollar as the global currency has contributed to numerous international crises. Consequently, most reform proposals in the literature seek to establish a new international monetary system capable of addressing and mitigating these disruptions.

Procedural Parliamentary Immunity In Jordanian Legislation, Hamza Abu Issa, Omar Emar, Ahmad Al-Refaei

Parliamentary immunity is divided into two types: irresponsibility, which protects members from prosecution for acts carried out in the course of their mandate and prevents their dismissal from office; and procedural immunity, which concerns activities outside of their mandate. Procedural immunity subjects members to potential dismissal and prosecution, but any "coercive" measure taken against a member requires the lifting of immunity by parliament members. This study focuses on procedural parliamentary immunity and will be structured …
