Objective: Given the rising participation in high school athletics and the concerning trend of underreporting concussions, this study aims to identify and compare factors influencing sports-related concussion (SRC) awareness and reporting among youth athletes to their parents.'

Methods: Surveys were completed by 239 student-athletes (ages 13-19) and their parents, using a modified Rosenbaum Concussion Knowledge and Attitudes Survey-Student Version (RoCKAS-ST) and demographic questionnaires. Statistical analyses, including paired sample t-tests, ANOVAs, and Spearman's correlations, compared knowledge and attitudes between groups and examined demographic influences.

Results: Parents showed significantly higher concussion knowledge (CKI: t(230) = 5.18, p < .001) and safer attitudes (CAI: t(230) = 10.62, p < .001) than their children. Knowledge scores varied significantly by race and socioeconomic status, with White parents scoring higher than Hispanic and African American parents (F(3,224) = 8.97, p < .001). How can liberal democracy survive in an increasingly hostile world? How can liberal democracies grow powerful enough to defend themselves without becoming the empires they fear? I argue that seapowers have historically represented a distinct kind of hegemon, that is more amenable to international cooperation, and democracy at home. The lymphatic system is critical to the body's immune and circulatory system, and lymphangiogenesis, the development of new lymphatic vessels from pre-existing ones is a significant process capitalized upon by cancer during tumorigenesis. Decorin is a small leucine-rich proteoglycan which we have previously shown to be anti-tumorigenic and a suppressor of lymphangiogenesis. We have also shown that decorin exercises its anticancer properties through its ability to evoke autophagy. Through a comprehensive and unbiased proteomic analysis, we explored the implications of decorin exposure on protein expression within mouse lymphatic endothelial cells. ABSTRACT Objective: To evaluate and provide evidence on drugs investigated in completed phase IV clinical trials for adult non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) therapy, primarily focusing on treatment objectives and adverse effects. Methods: Clinical research studies from January 2020 to January 2025 were systematically reviewed using the “ClinicalTrials.gov” database. The inclusion criteria focused on publicly available, relevant, and completed Phase IV studies limited to “Clinicaltrials.gov”, while those not meeting these specifications were excluded. ABSTRACT Objectives: To evaluate the association between Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and Ischemic heart disease (IHD). Methods: A retrospective cohort analysis included patients with and without IBD seen at the outpatient gastroenterology clinic of a large tertiary care hospital between January 2015 and October 2022. The primary outcome was the association between IBD and IHD, and the secondary outcome was predictors of IHD in patients with IBD. Results: The study included 400 patients; 291 were IBD patients, and 109 had other non-inflammatory GI disorders. The IBD group displayed significantly lower rates of hyperlipidemia (8.6% vs. 30.3%, p <0.001), diabetes mellitus (DM) (10% vs. 24.8%, p <0.001), and hypertension (11.7% vs. 32.1%, p <0.001) compared to the non-IBD group. Only 2.7% (n=8) of IBD patients developed IHD. Logistic regression analysis did not demonstrate a significant association between IBD and IHD ( p =0.932). Among classical risk factors, only hypertension (OR: 26.2, 95% CI: 2.14–661, p =0.016) and hyperlipidemia (OR: 10.5, 95% CI: 1.32–132, p =0.0405) significantly increased the risk of developing IHD among patients with IBD. Conclusion: In this cohort, there is no increased risk of developing IHD in patients with IBD compared to non-IBD patients.

Since the early 2000s, Saudi Arabia has expanded its involvement in clinical research. Recognizing the importance of clinical trials, we aimed to analyze the clinical trial landscape in the Kingdom to identify well-covered areas and potential gaps. Methods: In this descriptive cross-sectional study, ClinicalTrials.gov was used as the primary source to collect data regarding pharmacological and biological interventions conducted in Saudi Arabia between 2002 and June 2025. ABSTRACT Objectives: To identify risk factors for moderate-to-severe pain during intraosseous infusion (IOI) in non-cardiac arrest patients in the emergency department (ED). Secondary aims include evaluating pain trajectory across procedural stages and assessing the efficacy of a personalized pain management strategy. Methods: This mixed-methods study analyzed 220 ED patients undergoing IOI (150 retrospective, 70 prospective). The prospective cohort was randomized to standard care (n=35) or personalized pain management (n=35). Pain was quantified using the numeric rating scale (NRS) and critical-care pain observation tool (CPOT). Results: During puncture, 35.33% (53/150) reported no/mild pain. The Windrush Generation (WG) and their descendants continue to experience adversity in the UK, including racism and the Windrush Scandal, with such adversities absent from psychological research literature. Intergenerational trauma is a psychological concept explaining that adverse experiences can be transmitted from one generation to impact subsequent generations. There has been limited consideration of the ongoing impact of adverse experiences that span multiple generations, such as experiences of racism within Western Europe. Complex coacervation is an associative liquid–liquid phase separation phenomenon that takes place due to the electrostatic complexation of oppositely-charged polyelectrolytes and the entropic gains associated with the release of bound counterions and rearrangement of solvent. The aqueous nature of coacervation has resulted in its broad use in systems requiring high biocompatibility. The significance of electrostatic interactions in coacervates has meant that studies investigating the phase behaviors of these systems have tended to focus on parameters such as the charge stoichiometry of the polyions, the solution pH, and the ionic strength.
