The exhibit, curated by Isabelle Masson, recognizes the historic and ongoing displacement of Palestinians by the Israeli government by including both historic relics from the initial removal of Palestinians in 1948 and contemporary art engaging continued violence there. Items include artifacts from the life of physician Izzeldin Abuelaish, who lost his daughters and niece to an Israeli attack on their home even …
Children No More: Were And Are Gone. Produced By Sheila Nevins, Yael Melamede And Hilla Medalia; Directed By Hilla Medalia. English. 2026; Color; 36 Minutes. Full Story Films, Medalia Productions, And Salty Features, Muzna Rahman
Journal of Hate Studies
Postcolonial studies scholar Muzna Rahman reviews Children No More: Were and Are Gone, Hilla Medalia’s Academy Award-nominated short documentary. The film documents pro-peace Israeli activists who gather regularly in Tel Avivi to hold a silent vigil for Palestinian children killed by Israel forces. Against the backdrop of everyday urban life, the protestors simply hold photos of the children, commemorating their lives rather than their brutal deaths. The images of Palestinian children held by Israeli activities highlights the similarities between the groups, while the rage of passersby reveals the danger that Israelis who advocate for peace face in their work.

Part of Oxford University Press’s What Everyone Needs to Know series aimed at general readers, the book provides a basic history of antisemitism through the present, including explaining its relationship to the Holocaust, but it devotes much more attention to what the author alleges is antisemitism on the left, particularly concerning Israel, than to antisemitism on the Far Right, and it fails to engage with or reflect contemporary scholarship on antisemitism.

It also considers why traditional philosophy departments have hesitated to acknowledge the use of philosophers in right-wing movements and how Beiner manages the risk of validating fascism as intellectual by studying the topic.

The Great Right North traces the history of the far right in Canada, mapping hate groups by their relationships to political and social institutions and violence as well as their construction of otherness, thereby revealing how such groups are not insular but are in fact responsive to social phenomena. After defining groups as ultra right, racial right, xenophobic right, anti-state militias, freedom conspiracists, or nostalgic racists, The Great Right North identifies commonalities and differences …

Nineteen authors contribute essays on four topics: defining Christian nationalism, trends in the United States, international and comparative analyses, and theological responses to Christian nationalism. Christian nationalism is a platform for grievance, the contributors argue, and the theme of loss runs throughout the book: nostalgia for an imagined social history and loss or perceived loss of White privilege, with its attendant racism, antisemitism, Islamophobia, sexism, and homophobia.

Though these fallacies are also used to advance other biases, such classism, sexism, and ableism, Sims’ focus on race shows how fallacious thinking is not merely an individual error but part of an epistemology that upholds White supremacy.

While traditional notions of proof separate fact from value and treat proof as apart from procedural rules and practices and from substantive law, Proof, Evidence, and Hate Crime proposes an applied and context-specific model of proof. Mosaka uses non-contact hate crimes motivated by race, religion, and ethnic bias to explore his ideas.

Reviewed by Mary Pat Treuthart, Carla the Rescuer is a feature-length documentary about the life and work of Carla Peperzak, a Dutch girl whose father managed to get her Jewish identity marker removed from her identification papers after Germany invaded the Netherlands in 1940. Peperzak used her relative freedom to join the Dutch Resistance, forging documents and assisting Jews in finding hiding places. Though Carla the Rescuer focuses on Peperzak’s youthful bravery, her family only learned of it when her granddaughter asked her to speak about her wartime experiences to the child’s middle school class. Peperzak thus became a later-in-life …

Staff Education To Improve Medication Adherence Knowledge In Schizophrenia Care, Richard Emereonye
Staff Education To Improve Medication Adherence Knowledge In Schizophrenia Care, Richard Emereonye
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
This staff education doctoral project addressed a documented gap in nursing competency, confidence, and documentation related to medication adherence counseling for adults with schizophrenia on an inpatient psychiatric unit. Nonadherence to antipsychotic medication affects an estimated 40% to 60% of adults with schizophrenia and contributes to relapse and avoidable rehospitalization. The practice-focused question was: In a psychiatric care facility, how does a competency-based staff education program on medication adherence strategies for schizophrenia affect nursing staff knowledge, confidence, and competency, as measured by pre- and post-education assessments? The intervention was developed using the analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate (ADDIE) model …

Chemical Composition And Thermal Behavior Of Biopolymer Tjipetir Gutta-Percha, Dewi Kartikasari, Wenny Maulina, Alivia Nurul Avivin, Djarwani Soeharso Soedjoko, Anawati Anawati
Makara Journal of Science
Natural gutta-percha, a biopolymer derived from the sap of Palaquium gutta trees, has long been utilized in endodontics for root canal obturation, yet its native physicochemical properties remain inadequately characterized. In this paper, we present a comprehensive analysis of pure gutta-percha from Tjipetir, West Java, Indonesia, employing spectroscopic (FTIR, NMR), crystallographic (XRD), morphological (SEM/EDS, 3D microscopy), and thermal (DSC-TGA) techni-ques. Morphological assessment demonstrated a dense, non-porous microstructure with moderate surface roughness, supported by elemental homogeneity of carbon and oxygen as shown by EDS. FTIR and NMR confirmed that the material possessed a trans-1,4-polyisoprene structure, while XRD revealed a mixed …

The current genetic study aimed to screen out the genetic basis of ß-thalassemia in five unrelated consanguineous Pakistani families. Blood samples were collected, and targeted Sanger Sequencing of the HBB gene was done. Serum Interleukin-6 (IL-6) and quantitative measurements of T Helper and T Suppressor Lymphocytes were also carried out. Additionally, in silico analysis, including protein modeling, Protein-Protein docking, and Multiple sequence alignment, was also performed. Genetic analysis identified a homozygous mutation c.92+5G > C (IVS-I+5 G > C) in families 1, 2, and 3, which resulted in β+/ β+ Thalassemia Intermedia phenotype. While in the case of family …

This study aimed to evaluate the antifungal activity of Piper aduncum secondary metabolites along with additive oils against Sclerotium rolfsii, causing stem rot on patchouli cuttings. It was conducted in two stages—an in vitro experiment using a completely randomized design with seven treatments: P. aduncum oil, combinations of P. aduncum oil with citronella grass, lemongrass, cinnamon leaf, and cloves leaf oils, a synthetic pesticide (propineb 70%), and without essential oils. The second was carried out in vivo using a factorial completely randomized design, in which the first factor was five antifungal formulations, and the second was the spraying interval. …

In July 2023, five individuals of Parupeneus jansenii were collected from the Parangipettai landing center, south-eastern India (Bay of Bengal). The standard length ranged from 140 to 150 mm, and two females and three males were recorded. This study confirms the first distributional record and the westernmost valid occurrence of this species in Indian coastal waters. P. jansenii significantly differs from P. heptacanthus in having fewer pectoral fin rays, more gill rakers on the upper limb, and 27 lateral line scales. Compared with P. angulatus, P. jansenii has a shallower body, a shallower caudal peduncle, a shorter snout, a …
