The Role Of Class Organizational Ability And Teacher Innovation In Overcoming The Challenges Of Social Studies Curriculum Implementation In Junior High Schools, Uswantun Kasanah, I Wayan Lasmawan, I Wayan Kertih
Jurnal Pendidikan Humaniora
This study examines the influence of class organization ability and teacher innovation on the success of social studies teachers in overcoming curriculum implementation challenges at the junior high school level, specifically analyzing how these factors contribute to effective instructional delivery. A quantitative experimental research design was employed, involving social studies teachers from several junior high schools in Buleleng, with data collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires. The analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential methods, including linearity tests and multiple linear regression with prerequisite tests. The results of the linearity test indicate that both class organization ability and teacher innovation …

The Effect Of Peer Feedback To Improve Students’ Writing Ability For Lower Secondary School Students, M. Kresna Dharma, Nunung Suryati, Ekaning Dewanti Laksmi, Niamika El Khoiri
Jurnal Pendidikan Humaniora
Peer feedback is widely recognized as an effective technique for improving writing skills; however, most existing studies have been conducted at the university level. There is still limited study to find out that peer feedback technique can improve students’ writing skill especially in Lower Secondary Level (SMP). This study was aimed to find out the effectiveness of peer feedback in improving students’ writing skill in lower secondary level. One school from Bangkalan was taken to conduct this research. This was a quasi- experimental study. There were two classess used to be experimental group and control group. The data were obtained …

Make It Make Cents: Creating A Rubric To Evaluate Potential Read-And-Publish Agreements, Olivia Chin, Luke Mcdonald
All Things Open
Negotiating read-and-publish agreements for institutions can be tricky! There are many different aspects to consider: cost, publisher ethics, publishing data, open access discounts, etc. How do you decide which agreements to choose? What are your dealbreakers? In the summer of 2025, the License Negotiation Team from the University of Tennessee Knoxville Libraries created a rubric to evaluate potential read-and-publish agreements with vendors. The rubric allowed us to prioritize our principled negotiations approach and standardize how we approach these decisions. This presentation will demonstrate how academic libraries can create and implement rubrics to address the publishing criteria most important within their …

Here Be Dragons (Or Treasure?): Navigating Complexities Of Oa Funding Options, Anna R. Craft
All Things Open
The wide availability of open access scholarship benefits authors, readers, and institutions. But it can be challenging to navigate OA funding options, especially in a climate of budget cuts and rising costs. In these conditions, how can institutions support authors who want--or need--to share their work via open access?
At UNC Greensboro, a mid-sized regional public university in central North Carolina, OA funding support options include APC waivers and discounts through read-and-publish agreements with certain publishers, as well as an OA subvention fund that offers limited awards to offset some APC costs. These options have supported many UNCG authors in …

Kentucky Teacher Education Journal: The Journal of the Teacher Education Division of the Kentucky Council for Exceptional Children
Due to an increasing reliance on special education paraprofessionals in rural schools, this study examines their self-efficacy beliefs before and after professional development. Using a mixed-methods approach, findings suggest no significant change in self-efficacy post-training. Paraprofessionals’ confidence was more influenced by on-the-job experiences than by a single professional development session.

Uniting To Strengthen Reading Instruction Through Mixed-Reality Simulations, Todd Whitney, Kera B. Ackerman
Kentucky Teacher Education Journal: The Journal of the Teacher Education Division of the Kentucky Council for Exceptional Children
Improving literacy outcomes in Kentucky requires professional learning models that effectively bridge the gap between research and classroom practice. The partnership between the Kentucky Reading Research Center (KYRRC) and the University of Kentucky SimLab (UK SimLab) represents an innovative approach to building teacher capacity through mixed-reality simulations aligned with statewide literacy initiatives. Grounded in evidence-based instructional practices, the partnership integrates professional learning and opportunities for deliberate practice in core literacy areas, including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Mixed-reality simulations provide educators with structured, low-risk environments to rehearse instructional routines, receive feedback, and refine their teaching, addressing well-documented challenges …

Exploring “Isms” In Teacher Preparation: What Are The Views Of Teacher Candidates?, Michelle A. Gremp
Kentucky Teacher Education Journal: The Journal of the Teacher Education Division of the Kentucky Council for Exceptional Children
Teacher preparation programs are charged with preparing educators who understand biases and work toward fostering inclusivity in their classrooms. This study explores the knowledge and perceptions of teacher candidates in an education of the deaf and hard of hearing program related to ableism, audism, and inclusivity. and suggest next steps for developing competencies in these areas. Teacher candidates indicated varying levels of familiarity, views of impact, and the ability to provide accurate definitions of these terms, indicating the need for explicit and scaffolded exposure to the ideas of ableism, audism, and inclusivity across multiple courses within teacher preparation programs.

Kentucky Teacher Education Journal: The Journal of the Teacher Education Division of the Kentucky Council for Exceptional Children
When considering all of the content and pedagogy required for preservice teachers to master before they begin teaching students with disabilities, candidates at public, regional university report that one of the most complex components is understanding Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and how to write them. In this article, we will provide a program description of the structure, components, and outcomes of a model preservice personnel preparation program designed to address the pedagogical needs of university teacher education candidates in this rural state university. We will describe the plan and initial results from a small pilot study in which faculty in …

Kentucky Teacher Education Journal: The Journal of the Teacher Education Division of the Kentucky Council for Exceptional Children
Drawing on sociocultural theory, a transdisciplinary, multi-racial team of teacher educators, a social work educator, and a scholar of English and rhetoric, designed a study focused on developing teacher candidates’ understanding of trauma-informed practices during their teacher preparation program. Qualitative data from teacher candidates’ reflections on Critical Incident Descriptions (CID) completed during student teaching reveal their developing understanding of trauma-informed practice with Timing, Maintaining Relationships, Holding High Expectations, and Engaging Students so they Remain in the Classroom as prevalent themes across all CIDs. Findings suggest that Critical Incident Analysis promotes teacher candidates’ reflection practices as they make connections …

Digital Transformation And Market Microstructure: Analyzing The Impact Of Algorithmic Trading On National Stock Exchange Of India Price Discovery Mechanisms Through Complex Systems Theory., Mukesh Bhaskar Ahirrao, Harshal Anil Salunkhe, Vishal Sunil Rana
Northeast Journal of Complex Systems (NEJCS)
Abstract
This research examines the evolution of market microstructure at the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) from 2020 to 2024, a period characterized by substantial growth in algorithmic trading from 35% to 44% of total trading volume. Using market microstructure data and analytical techniques grounded in complex systems perspectives, the study documents temporal patterns in price discovery, liquidity, volatility, and market efficiency associated with this digital transformation.
The analysis reveals several notable changes in market characteristics. Transaction costs improved significantly, with bid-ask spreads declining by 23.4% and market depth increasing by 18.1%. Price adjustment half-life decreased by 50%, indicating …
