Surveying- Based On Framework To Measure The Effectiveness Of Urban Heritage Management Policies In Egypt In Light Of Unesco Culture | 2030 Indicators, M. M. Rizk Dina, A.A. Sheta Sherief, A.A. Mohamed Mamdouh

Mansoura Engineering Journal

This research aims to propose a framework for measuring the effectiveness of cultural heritage management policies in Egypt within the UNESCO thematic indicators for culture in the 2030 Agenda (UNESCO Cultural Indicators | 2030) for Sustainable Development, using a specialized research methodology based on a questionnaire. Linking heritage management and sustainable development is essential in light of the global transformations in the field of heritage conservation, which have shifted from a focus on physical assets to managing cultural values and employing them as an effective tool for achieving sustainable development. The importance of this research stems from the gap between …

Rna Interference Targeting Autocrine Motility Factor Receptor In Unfolded Protein Response In Acyrthosiphon Pisum, Micah A. Von Stroh, James Balthazor Apr 2026

Rna Interference Targeting Autocrine Motility Factor Receptor In Unfolded Protein Response In Acyrthosiphon Pisum, Micah A. Von Stroh, James Balthazor

SACAD: Scholarly Activities

Acyrthosiphon pisum, more commonly known as pea aphids, are a pest to many species of Fabaceae (legumes) mainly due to the species being prone to carrying Fabaceae diseases. Protection against A. pisum currently includes insecticides and natural predators, both of which bring potential negative effects to other organisms in the surrounding area. In this study, the use of RNA interference (RNAi) provides an alternative and species-specific elimination of A. pisum. The targeted proteins in this study, Autocrine Motility Factor Receptor, plays a role in removing misfolded proteins from the cells of A. Pisum and is encoded by the AMFR gene. …

Business Ethics Index 2026, Qiaoqiao Chen, Hainan Xiang, Weihui Fu Apr 2026

Business Ethics Index 2026, Qiaoqiao Chen, Hainan Xiang, Weihui Fu

SACAD: Scholarly Activities

This study introduces and measures the Business Ethics Index (BEI), a framework adapted from consumer sentiment indices to assess consumer attitudes toward business ethical practices. Using a convenience sample of 91 respondents, we collect quantitative and qualitative data across four BEI dimensions: Personal/Past, Vicarious/Past, Personal/Future, and Vicarious/Future. The overall 2026 BEI score is 107.29, indicating a generally positive attitude. Personal experiences show a positive sentiment (117.6), while Vicarious/Past perceptions are negative (85.15). Future expectations are optimistic across both personal (117.05) and vicarious (109.35) dimensions.

Standardizing Cardiac Rehabilitation Referrals In A Rural Primary Care Clinic, Carlie H. Sanders Apr 2026

Standardizing Cardiac Rehabilitation Referrals In A Rural Primary Care Clinic, Carlie H. Sanders

SACAD: Scholarly Activities

Abstract

Cardiac rehabilitation (CR) is a cost-effective, evidence-based approach for patients with cardiac conditions to improve quality of life and health outcomes. Despite the benefits, it remains a nationally underutilized service, and extensive research has been conducted to identify interventions that most effectively increase referrals and participation in CR programs. Two of the more successful interventions include strengthening provider recommendations and using a standardized referral system (Ades et al., 2022). This quality improvement project aimed to strengthen provider recommendations and increase the frequency of referrals to the existing CR program at a rural primary care clinic by 50%. To do …

The Wrongful Conviction Of Bennie Starks, Logan D. Bayless Apr 2026

The Wrongful Conviction Of Bennie Starks, Logan D. Bayless

SACAD: Scholarly Activities

Bennie Starks was wrongfully convicted of aggravated criminal sexual assault among other charges in 1986. He spent 27 years in state prison before his exoneration (The Innocence Project, 2026). On the evening of January 18, 1986, a 69-year-old Hispanic woman went for a walk when she was accosted by an assailant. According to her, she was grabbed from behind, beaten and dragged into a ravine located nearby where she was bitten and raped. Her description was described as an 18-year-old, clean-shaven black male. Bennie Starks was placed at the scene despite being 26 years old and having facial hair because …

Irreversible K-Threshold Dynamics On Corona And Base-B Corona Product Graphs, Eric J. Moon, Soumya Bhoumik, Paul Flesher Apr 2026

Irreversible K-Threshold Dynamics On Corona And Base-B Corona Product Graphs, Eric J. Moon, Soumya Bhoumik, Paul Flesher

SACAD: Scholarly Activities

This poster studies the irreversible k-threshold process on corona-type graph products, where a vertex becomes colored once at least k of its neighbors are colored and then remains colored permanently. We focus on corona, double corona, and base-b corona product graphs built from cycles and complete graphs, with particular attention to how graph structure affects complete activation from a minimum seed set.

A generalized reduction lemma is used to relate threshold dynamics on layered corona graphs to smaller residual graphs, yielding explicit formulas for the irreversible k-threshold conversion number on both corona and double corona families. The …

Elliott’S Embodied Inclusion 360 Framework: A Holistic Approach To Supporting Neurodiverse Individuals, Niki Elliott Ph.D. Apr 2026

Elliott’S Embodied Inclusion 360 Framework: A Holistic Approach To Supporting Neurodiverse Individuals, Niki Elliott Ph.D.

Neuroinclusion

The embodied inclusion (EI) 360 framework asserts that authentic inclusion requires adapting environments in support of neurodiverse learners. The EI 360 model offers an urgently needed synthesis of intersecting theories and practices that are too often addressed in silos: educational neuroscience, trauma-informed teaching, social–emotional learning, inclusive education, and culturally responsive pedagogy. The framework identifies five core domains (i.e., physiological, relational, environmental, instructional, and transcendental) that form a cohesive lens through which to understand and respond to learner needs. Each domain contributes valuable insight into neurodiverse learner neurobiology, replacing fragmented, incomplete support plans with an integrated, individualized profile of a learner’s …

Through The Gills: Translating Neurorehabilitation Principles Into An Adaptive Aquatic Game And Caregiver Toolkit For Children And Adolescents With Acquired Brain Injuries, Elizabeth J. Blincoe

Entry-Level Occupational Therapy Doctorate - Doctoral Capstone Symposium

Background: An acquired brain injury (ABI) can result in motor, cognitive, and emotional impairments that limit participation and quality of life in children and adolescents (Pappadis et al., 2023). Caregivers often report difficulty supporting recovery and promoting functional carryover following discharge (Pappadis et al., 2023). Aquatic therapy is an evidence-based intervention shown to improve mobility, balance, and activities of daily living following brain injury (Curcio et al., 2020). Access to pediatric aquatic occupational therapy remains limited in communities.

Purpose: This doctoral capstone project was completed in a community-based wellness setting. The purpose was to develop and implement a caregiver-guided adaptive …

Promoting Self-Regulation And Classroom Participation Throughsocial-Emotional Learning Interventions At A Title 1 Elementary School, Emma L. Hidalgo Apr 2026

Promoting Self-Regulation And Classroom Participation Throughsocial-Emotional Learning Interventions At A Title 1 Elementary School, Emma L. Hidalgo

Entry-Level Occupational Therapy Doctorate - Doctoral Capstone Symposium

This capstone project aimed to promote self-regulation and classroom participation through social-emotional learning (SEL) interventions in a Title 1 public elementary school serving children from low-income households. Students in this setting often experience an increased array of home life stressors, leading to an decreased ability to have an environment outside of the school setting that provides opportunities for SEL.  (Hodgkinson et al., 2017). SEL provides a framework through which students develop skills in emotional management, goal setting, and social awareness, which are critical for academic and life success (Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning [CASEL], 2020; Jones et al., …

Division of Occupational Therapy, Medical University of South Carolina

Approximately 80% of preterm infants develop oral feeding difficulties during their neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) hospitalization (Pineda et al., 2020). Preterm infants often demonstrate inadequate feeding readiness, poor arousal/state regulation, physiological instability, and poor oral motor reflexes, all essential for independent feeding (Grabill et al., 2023; Pineda et al., 2020). Common feeding assessments rely on non-standardized clinical observation, have limited ability to track …
